They likely removed it. And based on what I see in this video, they were right to as it makes the graphics look way worse. Digital Foundry said that Microsoft removed Auto HDR from GTA IV after initially complaining about how it looked in HDR, and that game may have suffered the same issue as COD 2.

Auto HDR, not sure what the frame rate is.

Auto HDR is not perfect but it can be turned off.

That would be funny if this title gets FPS boost support.

@@karlfairbourne9165 I've played it on my Xbox One a couple of times, and it had too many glitches. So whenever I play Unreal, it has to be on original hardware.

4 months to deliver, I pre ordered in October, it arrived February, I normally preorder early with new consoles but not this time.

@@Pyr0bi Is your tv/display HDR capable and do you have a series x connected and Splinter Cell running on it? I didn't Jack up any saturation, an ffmpeg was used to process video at 1000 nits (1000 lower than the xbox dvr capture) the original xbox dvr pixel metadata to enable uploading to youtube, xbox dvr captures HDR pixel metadata in an incorrect format and why ffmpeg is used to correct. The series x HDR settings are calibrated to match the abilities of my Samsung Q90R tv which can display HDR up to 2000 nits, splinter cells colours are that saturated on my tv but much brighter in strength on every tv display setting, the xbox dvr records with the calibrated HDR setting and finally the xbox auto HDR feature is not perfect. On non HDR tvs, captured uploaded videos may look too bright or too dark but look perfect during live xbox dvr capture. I'm hoping to get an elgato 4k60s+ soon enough which will capture HDR pixel metadata in correct format, until then I'm going to upload non HDR captures as much as possible because it's too much hassle to process xbox dvr captured HDR.

In reply to your original questions, yes to all. And it looks nothing like this. What THIS looks like is like someone is trying to replicate and over-egg the Auto HDR effect to demonstrate for a non-HDR TV.

@@Pyr0bi Thats what I noticed. The saturated Xbox intro at the beginning was a give away. I have other Xbox games with hdr support but none of them look so saturated like this.

Yes, it was in performance mode which turns down the effects to boost framerate. However it's been patched recently for the Series X to take advantage of the new hardware the game looks even better than when this gameplay was captured.
