The reservation is based on caste but why has it been given, to improve the economic inturn social status. The professor twisting the things by quoting irrelevant examples of UK, USA and Malaysia. A SC person becomes a collector in quota, then why his son need reservation to uplift his social/economical status. If he can't ensure his son's life, he failed as a father. If govt keeps on supporting his family alone, then who will support underprivileged SC people. I Believe, the creamy layer in SC is a great decision so that the actual needy i.e socially economically backward SC/ST will get the opportunity otherwise the affluent/upper class SC will grap their opportunity and never let the weaker section grow. Govt has 7.5% quota and rural quota in educational institutions, a significant proportion of those seats goes to SC/ST people. If the Professor is factually correct, let him provide some data relevant to India. Pls don't quota deceptive other country data. In the research level, many such data related to India will be available. Supreme court is not blind, if Professor is right, he can challenge the verdict with proper data.
