My son at age 5 and I watched (LOST) the whole series intently, of course all the episodes were educational and fun. But my son took a lot to the morals and ethics of it all.

His eyes are open and sees where he is and who he is forcing him to reflect on regrets wasting time and to enjoy what little time he has left. Tom's anger at his boss hits home tho

The music is pretty, but it doesn’t fit the scene or the intended mood. I think this is a very poignant scene with a perfect location. The building has bricked up windows that can no longer let in light. You can see Joe walking down through the only remaining window and then he exits the building. This is the first time that joe actually sees the world. It’s like his own eyes are open for the first time. When he hugs the dog, it’s as if it’s the first time he’s actually seen the dog. This is actually a very positive scene.

1 and 3 are best no doubt. 2 is weird.

Underated film, Beneath the silliness of it there are great characters, life lessons and substance

Best scene from a most underrated movie. Absolutely love this scene

Lots of great stuff in that movie, but this was the scene that took it to another place

all you need to know about this is Charlie Smiling. And this is still an amazing score.

It’s unfortunate that fable-like magical realism is such a hard sell outside of children’s entertainment - this is a beautiful little movie that deserved a lot better than it got.
