Phil Kelsall is at the top of my list for organists and I have heard many! I wish I had discovered him sooner. I live in the US--California to be exact.

Ragfijn en fijnzinnig spel. De juiste sfeer oproepend van carillon en draaiorgel plus de typische stadsgeluiden.

I only wish Lyle Mays could’ve heard this. I think he would’ve gotten a kick out of this arrangement as well as the non synthesized instruments used!

Our very own lancashire seaside organist Phil Kelsall. This seems a very fine instrument and sounds pure and fine. Thank you for posting

how can it be that this has so little views? Real talent is not appreciated anymore, it seems. Sad. But man, Bert can play the organ, and this accordeon player knows his way around the kitchen as well

just editing the 2 different instruments together to make it sound like this, that is talent.

Really spectacular playing! He switches effortlessly between poppy jazz and lush romantic sound. This is what I love to hear on cinema organs!

Why do Compton organs sound so millions time better that Wurlitzer? 'cause they are british? Surely not enough an explanation...

I think he might have been given a rather strict broadcast time slot? Thanks for posting this, wonderful as ever, if a little frantic!
@OrganMusicYT Жыл бұрын
Quite a fair bit of music there for a 10-minute slot. Reg's playing in broadcasts was often fast, flashy, and sometimes frantic - they were usually in front of a live audience at the tower of upwards of 4000 people, so as well as having a radio audience to please, he had the audience to keep happy as well. I'm told by those who were lucky enough to see him live, that the atmosphere in the room was absolutely electric.
