I went to SeaWorld in 1989 with my family when I was 8 years old, it was a fun experience,I got to see baby Shamu, but now as an adult I don't agree with their methods and hope all captive will be free one day.

The world suffers a serious lack of (1969-1972) real shamu footage. 1980 is better than nothing. Shamu died in 1972 after 6 years captivity. Shamus mother was harpoon killed in front of her. Caprured 1976? Its not up for debate: Shamu is a fuckin legend. The first captive Dolly die after at most 7 months. (1966?) Dolly then Mamu then Shamu? 1965 orca capture time-line.......

Thank you so much for posting this, brought my young son who was 6 and quite poorly at the time (1996, same show), from UK. As a family we adored it, was nearer to where we were staying than the main Florida attraction, we bought video and cassette tapes, remember those! Unfortunately the videos wouldn't play so this was wonderful to see again. Everyone was so nice there and the park beautiful, such happy memories.

Spaceport USA still exists today as the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Over the years, new attractions have been added, including the Space Shuttle Atlantis Exhibit, the Shuttle Launch Experience, Heroes & Legends featuring the US Astronaut Hall of Fame, and Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex. In addition, the Saturn V, which used to sit outside of the Vehicle Assembly Building, now resides within the Apollo/Saturn V Center alongside several exhibits like the Lunar Theater.

@@jasonrobert3849 it actually didn’t bother your eyes. This is a natural spring, the water is extremely pure. The only problem was becoming very cold if you stayed in to long. The water temp is a constant 74.2 degrees year round.

Seaworld does not deserve the hate it gets. They are kind people trying to stop extinction. Miami seaquarium has lolita and on the other hand lolita is confined to 1 "pool". While seaworld has many different pools and lolita's pool could probably fit like 10 times in shamu's pool. Plus what would you rather? Being treated like royalty and fed and cared for 24/7 or stuck in oil spill and bearly catching fish due to lack of fish from over fishing?

SeaWorld is no comparison to the wild, even being anti cap I still have some respect for them though. I would love if lolita was transferred to seaworld Orlando. It would make me so so happy if she was just because her conditions would be better even if not perfect. The miami seaquarium fucking sucks and a lot of smaller aquariums with killer whales just cannot properly care for them at all. At least seaworld is trying. No orcas should ever be caught or breed with the purpose of captivity again
