You certainly got some great scenery, much of which I recognized, such as the Grant Works area of Cicero, Morton West High School, North Riverside Mall, and Yorktown Mall. However, I really don't trust the safety of that Max 8 as it continues to have problems with faulty sensors and maneuvering to this day.

Contemplando así el territorio mexicano desde la altura de un avión luce muy deshabitada con muy pequeños poblados esparcidos en lo agreste del territorio....

Yes, they did take that high speed rather fast. LAS is notorious for tight spacing on final so I’m guessing there was another arrival hot on their tail.

Of the numerous flights I have taken into Las Vegas over the years, the only ones that had notable turbulence were all of them.

I can’t think of one flight where there was no turbulence. 😅😂

I look at Vegas from the air like that, and all I can think of is, what bunch of idiots would build a city in the middle of a desert? Oh, that's right, we did

The video is so clear I tried to figure out how you were able to shoot from the tarmac. My windows are always crusty
@aviationapproachАй бұрын
I actually have to clean my windows with a cloth about 80% of the time. There’s always an oil stain where someone put their forehead on the window haha

What was fast and furious about this?
@aviationapproachАй бұрын
4:59 - the pilots executed a pretty fast exiting of the runway. I say fast because I’m usually not shoved into the window of the plane after landing. I think the image stabilization on the camera might buffer the movements a lot than what they actually are though (especially in the video where my flight got diverted due to a windstorm - it doesn’t look half as bad in the video than what was actually happening in the plane. Double edged sword I guess 🤷🏻♂️

Why does the title say 737-932ER when it’s a 737-900ER
@aviationapproachАй бұрын
Ah yes, I believe the variation in the numbers is how an airline has configured the aircraft. So it is indeed a 737-900ER, but due to Delta’s configuration from Boeing it is specifically a -932ER. At least that’s how I understand it. N844DN is registered as such. Same with some of Southwest Airlines’ 737-700s that are registered as 737-7H4.

Midway Airport is a bit of a throwback. It's very small, the entire airfield is about 1 square mile so planes have pretty much no margin for error taking off and landing. Crazy that this was the world's busiest airport from the 1930's to the 60's

Why does the title say Delta 738?
@aviationapproach2 ай бұрын
That would be the airline (Delta Airlines) and aircraft type. Which is a 737-800, usually abbreviated to 738.

@aviationapproach3 ай бұрын
The flight ended up diverting to Oakland. Which was somewhat odd since Ontario was closer and the airline has operations at that field as well. But I guess the airline made the call to go to Oakland to avoid the storm system as a whole.

I live in Vegas,and we do have high winds here from time to time.I remember we was flying back from Seattle,and as we were approaching the airport to land,the plane suddenly jerked up to the west because of highwinds,me and a lot of people was scared and shocked.So we went up in the air and it turned to the south as we did a circle like this plane then it turned east around the airport .We then landed safely at the same runway the plane,it was scary.
