First song I had ever heard in my life playing on the radio of my father's impala in 1968, I was 3 years old.

Something about this song I don’t understand. I’ve always loved it. Always. And from the first time I heard it. Some songs bring back memories, as does this one. But, this one is puzzling. The memory is just driving down the street by myself on Telephone road. I was in my 1962 Chevy convertible that I had paid $100 for, then spending another hundred to get it working. I really liked that car. And it was springtime. I believe I was just on my way to school. All it could have been was just a good feeling that came over me. Nothing else. But, that exact thought and feeling comes back every time I hear the song.

Love this song as a kid. On a sad note I lost my dear mom and sister to a drunk driver at age of 12 in 1968. This song reminds me of a era when they were still alive.
