If sacred music is this gorgeous in this fallen world, just think of how gorgeous it will be in eternity with Yahweh! The entire Messiah written by Handel is truly anointed.

Wow! This is my very favourite performance of Handel's Messiah! Thank you so much Grace Cathedral and American Bach Choir and Soloists, San Francisco. Also for the written words from the Bible across the screen to follow and sing for ourselves. I am recommending this performance to many of my Australian friends. I am so inspired by every word sung so beautifully from verses both in the Old and New Testaments. I really believe that many people on hearing these beautiful words and music will give their lives to our Heavenly Father, our Saviour His Son, Jesus, and be lead in these very difficult and challenging times by His Holy Spirit. The music amazingly written by the talented Handel in two to three weeks; lifting us from darkness to light, from hopelessness to hope everlasting! How could we not give our lives to follow our Lord Jesus Christ.

I don't understand the fascination with male falsetto singers. This man did a fantastic job, but his sound is weaker with far fewer overtones than an alto. It's also not like there's an overabundance of male solos to fill....

My most favorite music ever..! I've listened to this..since I was a young child..and sang this most beautiful music in a church choir..even in Grand Central Station..! This music inspired by God..!! La chorale " il est vivant " de la paroisse ste therese de Marcory Abidjan a pu chanter 7 a 8 choeurs sur l album le messiah avec la garde republicaine. Aussi a chaque grande solennite nous chantons .. christ roi , paques , noel et autres on reprend les choeurs ..merci c est sublime

Thank you, Bishop Marc, for this lovely guide to art in Grace Cathedral. I have watched this video of Handel's Messiah for many years and never noticed your video. I listen to this version at least twice a year, Easter ( as it should be!) and Christmas. Grace Cathedral has been my 'home' sacred space since its completion in 1964, when I was 10. (60 years ago!). I also had the joy of doing ministry there. for two years as my first job out of Seminary 1992-1994. I will be buried there one day.... What a blessing to have this constant opportunity to listen and SEE the glories of Grace
