The fact that Mr. McMahon wanted him to be babyface is ridiculous, it wasn't gonna work for the following reasons • Wayne Farris (The Honky Tonk Man) had no experience in a babyface role. Not to mention during his prime, he only bumped 3 times in matches which made it harder for the fans to take him seriously as a babyface. • While Elvis Presley still had somewhat of an audience, the younger demographic were mainly fans of either hip-hop, hair metal or rock. • Everything about his gimmick & wrestling style got under the nerves of the fans.
