Thanks for this review. I did the dummy and took my 2 yr old to see it. He wouldn’t sit still or quietly so we left. This review helped me experience the movie after all.

I to am afraid to pursue my true passion, Because I feel that the moment my dreams so true. The world will end. Which makes no sense. But I can't help this feeling. Which is holding me hostage forever.

I find myself enjoying your commentary on the show more than the show itself 😂🤣. I lost interest after episode 3. And just opted into following the storyline through your recaps. Joseph has repeatedly pointed out this shows inability to connect the viewer to the historical context. After ep 3 I did a deep dive on the reign of King James, and the roles Mary and George Villiers played during this time. It makes so much more sense. This show solely latched onto the drama, but left viewers who are unaware of King James reign in the closet. Which is unfortunate. One more point, they could have highlighted so much more, like King James hypocrisy, going a murder spree against his own community. Alas…

Great review! 22:05 You are correct on your analysis, Jane Schoenbrun states paraphrasing: "it was based on early stages of transition, a fallout of coming out." The whole film is on Jane holding that feeling, until breaking point. Structure of the movie didn't work for me, told in a very dead pan fashion throughout.

Thought it would never end. For a movie with a title like that it’s extremely boring.

We saw this with our 15yo girl and 13yo boy. We all really enjoyed it. Very clever visual representations of the different emotions and other aspects of the mind. I did have a giggle at family island compared the friend island.

I think you're right that a full summer camp would be a nice way to show puberty at least a little bit more. For me, I was big chested and started growing hair very early (age 11), but did not get a period till 14. So theres definitely variation, but it sounds like it could have been explored more.

Just saw this one in theaters a couple of hours ago. It definitely worked more for me than you guys 🤣 but your critiques are definitely not off base… though I do think the rangers death was the worst, in terms of he was alive for all of it. The one guy does get an axe to the head at LEAST 85 times but the first hit killed him. The ranger was paralyzed and had to watch as he was dismembered and slowly decapitated lmaooo so I think he had it the worst 🤷‍♂️ very fun review though lol! Even though you guys usually don’t like the movies that I do you still make me watch cause you are hilarious

I think this director was going for film noir, but colorized, but the blue tones and red tones used like black and white made up for it... But also wanted a new twist on it. Which means it's no longer film noir. But also, the ending was ambiguous, but accidentally.

the entire thing takes place, i understand, in terry pratchett's Diskworld; there is a university for wizards, and the dump next to the university has all kinds of magical refuse that the university tosses out carelessly, much of it having magical and unpredicted effects.

A great movie also done by Disney Pixar that follows the similar theme, but doesn’t get as much attention is turning red. A great coming of age story featuring a Chinese Canadian little girl going through puberty, but it’s really funny and it talks about all the edgy parts of puberty that inside out doesn’t get into.

“Johhny, Walker” - outstanding! This won’t happen, but if this movie were to get the Star Wars treatment & is retroactively updated years from now, they have to use that.

My first concert was at Aloha stadium when I was maybe 12.. it was Janet Jackson’s All for you tour. She was allll the way at one end of the stadium and I was alllll the way in the back lol. Of course I couldn’t really see her but I could see Missy when she popped out lol. My uncle and aunt are the biggest Janet fans so I grew up on her music. So nostalgic for me. ❤

The list is a little longer for Halloween season I guess. This, with such "creative kills" and apart from the "hair issues" and thinking those were "victims" that got what they deserved...it got walking a whole new respect for stalking choices!
