nice video! Can you please do a long range with this 2.4ghz elrs receiver? thanks!
@jc.cantrell10 күн бұрын
Thank you. In the USA, we are restricted to unaided line-of-sight (must maintain visual contact with drone) and max altitude of 400' AGL. Under the best of conditions and at the best of locations, my spotter and I can see the Helion as far out as about 2500 meters (8000 feet), so that is as "long range" as I fly. At my usual fly places (like this park), I can see the drone at a max range of only about 2000 feet and 400 AGL due to trees/line of sight obstructions.

Im planning on buying this drone, are there some things I need to know? And how did u get the speed
@jc.cantrell21 күн бұрын
Yes - there are many things to know about the drone/FPV hobby. So that I can better answer your question, please share with me a little of your drone background/experience. Whereas I would recommend the BoB57 to any experienced drone hobbyist, there are other drones that I think work better for new drone enthusiasts. With regards to your question about the display of the drone speed, the GoPro GPS generates a data stream that is synched with the video. I use the Telemetry Overlay subscription software to supplement my videos, and that software has preformatted gauge templates that can interpret the GPS data stream.

iFlight does use UFL to RP-SMA pigtails. I would assume UFL to SMA could be used (instead), but almost all of my drones use RP-SMA connectors (so I've never investigated). I am happy to provide you information, but I am unclear as to your question(s). Connect the drone (to what)? Charging the batteries - iFlight recommends several different batteries (both LiON and LiPo batteries are available). I own several of the recommended batteries. shop.iflight.com/Fullsend-6S-8000mAh-Li-Ion-Battery-Pro1914 and shop.iflight.com/Fullsend-6S-3300mAh-95C-Battery-Pro1912 and shop.iflight.com/Fullsend-E-6S-8000mAh-Battery-Pro2077. Many good batteries and battery chargers are available - either from iFlight or other reputable dealers. I use the Hota D6 (shop.iflight.com/batteries-cat138/HOTA-D6-Pro-AC200W-DC650W-15A-1-6S-Dual-Channel-Charger-Pro1796). When used correctly, modern battery chargers will safely charge these batteries and stop-charging when the cells are balanced and at the correct voltage. I provided iFlight links because it was convenient (the information on these parts was readily available). You might find in more convenient to purchase from an in-country etailer (such as Pyrodrone for USA-based purchases.

@jc.cantrell6 ай бұрын
I received a very similar question today, and I am also happy to address yours, however, I am unclear as to your question(s). The drone is a "bind and fly" which means it is "setup" when you get it. Now, you may want to make some adjustments to drone flight characteristics and goggles display, and many (most?) of us learn to make those adjustments using the free/download software of BetaFlight (BF) configurator. For the Helion, 2RAW and iFlight recommend everyone download and use BF 4.5 (I think RC2 is current). This is important as 2RAW has released new "tune" that is compatible with BF4.5 and you will want to have those settings. I recommend you review the new tutorial released by Joshua Bardwell (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r62YoNd3mZqzeGg.html). Charging the batteries - iFlight recommends several different batteries (both LiON and LiPo batteries are available). I own several of the recommended batteries. shop.iflight.com/Fullsend-6S-8000mAh-Li-Ion-Battery-Pro1914 and shop.iflight.com/Fullsend-6S-3300mAh-95C-Battery-Pro1912 and shop.iflight.com/Fullsend-E-6S-8000mAh-Battery-Pro2077.
