I was going to buy Protection Racket's Drum Mat Markers but they require a rug. I play a lot of bars and often beers get spilled on my rugs so I have to throw them out (I buy cheap $20 WalMart rugs). Once I throw the rug out, I'd have to lay my kit out at home all over again and mark the stand and drum positions on a new rug. This would eliminate that problem. However, the whole reason I bring a rug in the first place is so things won't slide, so the need for anchors has me a little concerned--especially because I play an OffSet pedal and would likely have to buy the anchor expansion pack for an additional $25.

Both sound good imo. I would use both depending on how I'm feeling. Is it a must grab? Not at all, but it would definitely be nice to add to your arsenal for funsies

There is one thing you guys have forgotten to demonstrate here and that's the biggest secret of the Mundo: the rimclick sound of this thing when mounted onto a snaredrum is amazingly full and low (like a vintage-type sound)! Imho it sounds even better than the Gruv-X X-click and that really surprised me! I was about to order the X-click, but when I saw this little video (made in Indonesia or Malaysia I think) I was hooked to the Mundo: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rr2cotl6qM7KgnU.html&ab_channel=MAESTROMUSIK

My accent power tone has a metal hoop with curve inlays on the inside and couldn’t fit a cowbell holder.so I took a old wooden hoop and shaved it down flesh with the metal hoop mounted on and it works perfectly

@@Mieczu_DRUMS based on how he hits it I dont think so? I guess it's more for show. You can see he adjusts his upper body by the way he set it up. I'd be more concerned he'll sprain his shoulder quickly. But I don't know it's not my body. Maybe he's comfortable? A lot of drummers tell that about how Daru Jones sets his kit up and that he'll have back problems sooner or later hahah but then again maybe it's comfortable for him. Now if say I set my cymbals like that and didn't adjust how I hit it, I'll definitely eat my sticks up or worse crack them cymbals.

Why don't they make a thing that sound like a cross stick stroke but its just a thing you hit? Like imagine a jam block or a wood block, BUT instead of sounding like a child's toy - as they do - it sounds reeeeasonably like a rim knock?

Hi, Brian! That's a great question: currently, the X-Click has many finishes and one sound, but sounds Vastly different from the Mundo. You can check out our loop library on gruv-x.com to hear them in action!
