The new Thomas Nelson 2nd Edition MacArthur SB seems to have exactly the same notes as the Crossway 2010 MacArthur SB. So its only the Thomas Nelson version that was updated. Can you confirm this?

I was going to buy this Bible, thought it was just what I was looking for, UNTIL I saw that it includes introductions to each book. No thanks. Very disappointing. I am NOT interested in having in my Bible some editor's thoughts and ideas, particularly their ideas about the "THEME AND MESSAGE." I absolutely love my old NASB reference Bible published years ago by World Publishing, inc. It's a REFERENCE Bible, verse form, two columns, center reference notes, excellent cross references, red letter. It has NO "STUDY BIBLE" characteristics. Only problem is the tiny font. I need that very same Bible, but only in larger print. Still looking around.

How has this trutone edition held up over the 4 years? Curious, especially since I never see a goatskin available anywhere lol. Speaking of which, how is the paper comparison between the goatskin and trutone? I've "heard" that the trutone is more opaque and heavier than the goatskin which might make it a better pick.

This is just my opinion but those who recieve this corrected version with Joy and read it and do it are the elect.

Its interesting- This edition fullfills the Messiahs prediction when he said in the common edition"Jesus said for I have not come in my own name but I have came in my fathers name. Others(jesus and easous) will come in thier own names and them you will except but me you will reject. Now it took from 430ad till 2020 to have the Nicolatian deception revealed. This deception is capable of decieving even up unto the elect. There are clearly three Messiahs the orginal is Yahshua ben Yoseph and the second is Easous Christous and the thrid is Jesus Christ. One came in his fathers name and is lawful the second and thrid were created by nicolatian rulers and is lawless. This corrected Bible will be rejected by man as the true messiah is rejected. Bought 2 of these so far.

Exellent bible if you want to be a scholar or theologian,I have the KJV version,ESV version,NKJV version, very important when studying the hebrew and Greek languages

I ordered one a few months ago, thinking there would be a Reading Plan in the back, however, nope. So, I had to search the internet to actually find one, but, in trying to follow along for a bit, I decided it was not for me, mainly because it is in hardcover. They did a great job putting this all together with the maps, timelines, etc. I will be donating my copy to a Baptist Church and check for a Kindle Version, or wait for the Logos Bible Software Edition to get produced, which is in the works.

I use to have a NLT reference bible black leather back in 2005 with reference at the bottom and chapter numbers in blue and beginning of each book name in blue can’t even find that bible for sale anywhere

Bought this bible a week ago, was on sale at Christian Book Distributors for $13.43. Great deal. It's a great bible, love the extra large print size. Got the teal cover. Decorated the sleeve it comes in, so I could keep it as a sort of bible cover since you can't find bible covers that'll fit. Very nice bible, I'm super happy with it.

The video was well did, i enjoyed it! the main reason i watched it is because i ordered this bible today, it was the light green/aqua one with flowers on the side, i got it because i love to bible journal and write down what Jesus by His Holy Spirit is leading me to learn but i wanted to have a lot of room for my notes so i got this bible. and I wanted to see a good in depth review about it and i must say your review is top tier! thanks for uploading it! Jerry Falwell REALLY helped his congregation and his TV viewers by sending out some of the BEST Bibles, Commentaries, Dictionaries, and other Bible study aids of ANY televangelist at the time. Jim Bakker, Rex Humbard, Pat Robertson, etc NEVER provided such amazing Christian publications as did brother Jerry. AND I may ADD he sold his welll printed books at a loss to be a blessing to the Christian community.

I envy you getting a mint condition Open Bible. Back in my 70s childhood days I remember Jerry Falwell offering The Open Bible to his Old Time Gospel Hour TV viewers. I have a 1977 version and it has a dark blue cover with gold lettering. They really did produce some quality publications back then - no Bibles printed by slave labor in China. This OTGH Open Bible is the later Expanded Version that was first put out in 1985 with the light grey cover with blue lettering.

Wish the font was a little larger for the notes. I had to settle for the large print edition that isn’t as nice.

Can ANYBODY provide an update???
