sounds like the carb needs tuning on the pinkway...seen a few vids and it made a lot of difference on the saw's performance adjusting the carb. not that it is a Stihl replacement by any means.

This guy needs to bypass the starting solenoid. He needs to hook that battery directly to the starter. The starting solenoid does nothing. That is if the battery is good. I haven't seen him even meter the battery to see what the voltage is. So we don't even know the state of the battery. How is it he doesn't even know the plier or screw driver trick to try to jump the starter. I am quickly loosing faith in this farmer.
@WildFarmLife11 күн бұрын
I actually load tested battery 400 amps with a carbon pile load tester. Tested solenoid and it’s functioning properly. Starter winding has a bad spot in it. Pulled starter out turned it a little and it works until it hits the bad spot. Edited some of that boring stuff from the video

I do have a helmet with face/eye/ear protection but I’m not always good about having it along with me when I’m driving around the farm. Had I been going to cut a large amount I would have had it along. People should ALWAYS have protection when cutting.

In one of your first videos you had a I H 1466 tractor pulling a chopper with beautiful scenery, please tell us where the scenery is! You must have cattle because you're filling a silo is it beef or dairy and how many? Skip Western PA

Thanks Skip for all the input. We will need to put captioning on the videos for easier viewing. We are located in the far northeastern corner of Iowa, not far from the Mississippi River. Move throttle about half way to warm up. Haven't found a log yet it wouldn't split. Wish the wedge was 12" instead of 8. It's a Koehler .

We sold straw bales to our nearest municipality for years to put on the ski hill. They would get 100 bales and send 3 pickups + 3 single axle dump trucks and 12 guys. Most years they needed all the trucks to haul the straw. After the city hired a former farm hand we didn't need 1/2 of the vehicles or help. We were an all hay dairies and beside the 2 milking barns (most hay dropped, only stack at the end) we stacked hay in 3 smaller barns + the heifer barn. The 3 barns were pretty much emptied before winter got bad (2 pickups + a dump wagon transported the hay ). Our dairy barn mow was 25' from the mow elevator to the floor( could stand on mow elevator and still not reach the hay tack in the peak). Don't miss them long summers.
