I had the same idea but the complexity in material, tensions and everything in between was just too deep for me to even fathom how I wanted it to go

Glad to see you doing well and returning! This is hype man. I'm 100% interested in one of your builds if you ever decide to get into selling/making them. Community made levers like the Bandit line of Sanjuks or the Kaze are pretty dang cool.

Nice! Try using different materials for different parts of your prints. (ABS, ASA are great for housing) (PETG for parts that encounter friction like the actuators, bobbin) and if you wanna get more accurate prints look into dimensional accuracy tuning. Different materals experience variations in shrinkage which could affect your parts. Welcome to the black hole of 3d printing, enjoy your stay!

A few words of advise from a fellow stick printer enthusiast to save you some headache: 1. Stay away from circle patterns with small ass differences like when trying to pring actuators of 16.0 and 16.2mm - the thinkness of your nozzle is not the only thing that skews these sub-mm differences on FDM printers. And the last thing you'd want is an uneven actuator. Since you make your own body, it might be worth to play with switch spacing on top of the actuator size to achieve the same net result. 2. Always export your projects in .step file. Unlike .STL, step(bro) format is vector based so there's less errors and circular things will actually come out round, instead of "looking round enough". 3. Im unsure if you use some thread embeding etc, but 3D printed plasic gives up a little under constant pressure over time, so an external switchplate might be a good addition to keep things stable (ish). 4. Octagonal gates are great. However, on K-levers I've found that you probably dont really want a true octagon, but rather something like square with additional notches on cardinal directions (I'm yet to test that one out but on J-lever its just way too good. 5. Feel free to use my stuff as an inspiration for your projects, like 309 octo gate (look up "Samducksa 309 octagonal" on thingiverse by... well... me) etc. 6. Dont forget to have fun in the process and dont get high on ABS plastic fumes - sniff korean grommets instead ;)

Good choice on the p1s, it’s basically an x1c without the crazy bells and whistles for a significantly better price (and a better build plate)
