@@lio9143 almost - I was 5-2-1 (started 4-0) and was on my win and in for day 2, and my final round was against Vance Kelly (current world champ) and we went to game 3. I haven’t had much time to travel because of family things sadly so my season was cut short before even the half way point. I was supposed to go to oregon back in December but ended up having to cancel my trip last minute

@@lio9143 i was on gardy and he was on fusion mew, it was a really great set. The third game just came down to some unfortunate prizing because I had my zacian and 2 energy prized and it was before reversal was printed

Some people just don’t like the fact that Zard is good into everything and *almost* nothing has a positive W% as a deck, against zard. Very few do like lugia, espathra etc. I think it’s just hard for people because they don’t know how to approach the matchup sometimes because you can be punished for trying to take prizes to win the game

It’s one of those things where it’s a pivot for free retreat but gives you the option to draw extra cards in the early turns until you get your xatu set up. After that, once you have headquarters and stuff in play it becomes something you don’t rely on for your draw support. If I don’t need it then I don’t use it, if you need it then it’s there. I also would have used it in the second game, I even spoke of that. I miss played with forgetting I had the headquarters in play and attached incorrectly so I wasn’t able to use it

I really like slither wing, in fact my friend zach had originally put it in his list for the exact reason to 1 shot hands ! I just wanted to showcase the second place orlando list - but I don’t think the great tusk is necessary. As far as the flutter mane, it’s tricky to drop more than 1 just because you want to keep as many ancient cards as you can. The list right now has 29 which means a single moon can deal 360, but if you need to cycle 4 moon then you have 25 which is exactly 330. If you drop tusk for another ancient card that’s fine, but once you start decreasing ancient cards for non ancient cards, it can make the end game against charizard difficult. So I would maybe try 6 dark, 2 fighting 1 fire. But that’s about it, try to make adjustments of non ancient cards. Although flutter can be dead weight, it’s super strong against block lax but also important as it helps to build your damage output. I hope that makes sense :) The fire energy is so you can 2 shot noivern ex with shred too so if you don’t have noivern in your area at all, you can drop that for the fighting

But it’s also the most played deck by double the other decks. Does it need to be banned or does it top all the events because it’s the most represented. Some of the less represented decks have been topping as well and competing.

This is true, it’s almost double if not triple the meta shares of other decks at tournaments, with rotation just happening and the meta having limited pools now for good “counter” decks, I’m sure it’ll be more adjusted as more sets come out in the coming months

@@coryhills9987 I definitely agree with that, I just usually opt to go second into blind matches and that’s pretty much all live Is haha. Anytime I went first it didn’t workout for me, but irl tournaments I’m able to figure it out a lot easier

Literally just speaking about things as I play, you make take it as slow play, others take it as informative. I cater to new players too. They like to see what goes on in a a turn and see when overthinking can do my harm. So congrats, you think it’s slow play. I see it as people learning! My turn was less than 3 minutes. It was 2 minutes and 34 seconds to be exact. If someone watches this before a regionals - it’s important to see everything for a turn. I did just that. Wasn’t even “slowplay” Also capsule on hands and “push iron crown with radar” doesn’t win. You didn’t realize that I didn’t have another crown in deck did you ? Otherwise I would have done that. I literally talk about it in the video. Crown off radar + capsule wins. I didn’t have access to another crown 👍

I started recently to play TCG and there are lots of things I do not catch when I see someone who already knows the game play and I miss why are they doing it or the purpose of each action. You videos help a lot in terms of knowing why and when to do each thing. Keep it up man!

I have a program that calculates stats, it was a school project I worked on for my stats class in college and it ended up still working ,with my professor allowing me to continue using the sign in :)

Indeed it does - I forgot that gouging is technically an auto KO that places enough damage counters to knockout and doesn’t actually deal damage. So I got lucky with having another hands set up lol but if worst came to worst, I still had Miraidon to attack if my opponent used gouging - Great catch!

I caught that when I was editing - literally said “we can star requiem” RIGHT AFTER using my stone 😂🤦🏼‍♂️ late night recording shenanigans. Definitely didn’t mean to confuse 😅 I was intending for the lost impact after the sableye. With having 2 energy still, it means we just needed 1 energy to successfully lost impact again lol

@@izzyfire3 the bricks are tough with any tina variant it seems. When you don’t brick though it’s almost unstoppable which is why I think a lot of people still play it regardless of bricks. I get it though coming from a super linear deck that seems so consistent. My tip to you as you play it more would be to analyze every hand and see what you can do to maximize your chances of progressing the game. Sometimes after having rough hands, it’s hard to differentiate the “playable” hands from the bad hands. So make sure you find the difference. Not every bricked hand is a bad hand, it may just have some slow momentum but have the same end game :)

Yep I definitely could have! It would have been the absolute best for sure, allowing me to save a switching out of I didn’t have boss in deck. Good catch !

I think it could be doable to add aero/vulpix but I’m not sure of how it would fully work just because of all of the energy differences needed. Leaves works because you already play grass for Tina - but adding a water, a fighting and a 1-1 line of each Vstar means you need to fit at minmum 6 cards and that can be hard since lists are already so tight. I’m gonna start doing matchup guides here soon. I just have to figure out how I want to structure the video :)

I think it’s really strong! Definitely could be something to work with, the extra HP is great from cape and reducing damage is amazing too

I’m not sure what the save state is for - but for combat logs, it gives you a way to look at your turn by turn basis to see where you may have misplayed. I don’t think you can have the sim replay them unfortunately

@@TCGEmpire Yeah, currently I don't think there is a way to have the sim replay the logs. The Save State option, though, is very cool/useful. You can essentially load the game from wherever you saved it and play it out. So, you could "redo" a move or keep the game going (if an opponent conceded) to see how it would have played out.
