I just got a 2023 WRX a week ago and I'm still getting the hang of the clutch. Lol. I have 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th down pretty good but for whatever reason, 1st to 2nd is the trickiest to get. I had a 2020 Civic Si Coupe before the WRX and the rev hang in the Si was so bad so I'm still getting used to the no rev hang in the WRX (I like no rev hang so much better. Part of the reason I got rid of the Si is because of the rev hang. It drove me nuts) but it's so much better to drive than the Si. If I let the clutch out at the perfect time, it's fine but I still let it out too late sometimes. It's a lot different than driving a standard Civic but I love it.

I just got a 2017 WRX, I have driven a standard for a few years. Driving this thing in the low gear, usually 1st to 2nd, I feel like a new driver, hahaha I have had it about a week. Some days, I'm alright, but other days, I'm still janky with it. I just came to watch this video to see what the heck I'm doing wrong. I guess I need to find an empty parking lot later tonight to practice more. I have only stalled it twice driving it home from the dealer the first day. But I work a lot so I don't get to practice much. Just the short drive to and from work. But like I said, I'm still jerky from 1st to second. Or even sometimes when I downshift. I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling with this. I feel so stupid driving around and the whole car is jerking hahahaha

Hey man I know this video is from way back but is the startup very loud. I live in a quiet neighborhood but I don’t want to be extremely loud at startup… I usually park outside on my driveway, ofc it will be louder in a garage but would like to know! If you can-respond to this it will be much appreciated!

yes it is ridiculously loud. I would avoid getting it if noise is a concern. It will shake the entire neighborhood.

Do your coilovers have camber plates? Im looking at coilovets without camber plates and i plan to lower it with an 18×9 probably 235 tire. Will that work or do i need to get coilovers with adjustable camber plates?
@TheShaddix6 ай бұрын
Yes. Why would you want them without camber plates?

I watched this video, and the other videos Shaddix has made journaling his WRX, 5 years ago for the first time. It got me hooked on WRX’s and cars at 42 years old. I bought a white 2021 WRX off the lot a little over 2 years ago. Nearly 70k miles later I have just begun the modification journey after keeping the car stock and studying what I like and dislike, and how I would like to express the qualities of the car that bring me the most joy and satisfaction. I refer back to these videos often.

that stopper is actually really useful. Im a new manual driver and I noticed in my wrx that theres kind of a "dead" zone at the very bottom when you push the clutch in and after I lift it a little bit i can start feeling it actually push back. I subconsciously put the clutch right before that dead zone and I notice my shift are smoother

Great vid I can tell you've done this a lot. I tried upping my tire size and noticed a lot of rubbing and also some rubbing on the inner rear fender wall. Wondering if it's even worth it to pull my fenders if I have rubbing on the inside of the fender like this. Also was wondering how you make sure both sides are even is there any point to measure?

Lug nut sizes are specified in two numbers. The first number is the diameter of the stud. The second number is the thread pitch. On metric studs, the thread pitch is the distance in milimeters between each thread. On standard lug nuts, the thread pitch is the number of threads per inch. Nice video btw. ✨
