Andrew, this is exactly what I was looking for. However, went to Amazon and says Optimizer #4 is 2x magnification. Made by Donegan. Is this the correct one, or do you recommend 4x power. Thank you for clarifying sir.

If you use gold filled you would have to apply for hallmarking if the total weight is over 1g according the rules. I never see anybody do this. So is gold fill classed as plated?
@thecrystalcabinet6 күн бұрын
Gold filled has barely any real gold content. It’s an amalgam metal and not suitable for hallmarking.
@jamessalisbury33207 күн бұрын
There’s loads of (apparently) trusted dealers on Facebook gold and silver jewellery groups with pieces of silver jewellery well over the legal weights (25g rings) with just 925 stamped and there is one lad from abersychyn np47ae who has been caught out selling gold plated as 9ct gold and he also lasers his own hallmark. He nearly sold a large amount worth of chains to a registered dealer,(he thought because he’s registered, they won’t check it with the tester) and they did. No need to mention names,You know who he is Andrew berry. Not many jewellery shops in that area of south cymru.

Thank You! What a happy & pleasant surprise it was to see you demonstrate that angle gadget! I purchased it from PMC Supplies 2 weeks ago, after ruining a couple of gravers when trying to sharpen . The tool came with no instruction or diagram. I suggested they post a short video as I couldn’t even get the graver to stay tight in the tool. Thanks for such Great detail! I’m going to post link to your video, under the reviews for the tool. I’m a Long time subscriber 👍🏻Thanks Again.

With the second method, I was wondering why you don’t get oxidation of the wire just after the first solder? Shouldn’t be a must to pickle it before soldering again? I know it worked but why? Can someone explain how the flux is protecting twice the wire?

I have watched somewhere around 75 to 100 of the Delta clay check me and this is absolutely the best most refined ending up with the best castings without flashing all over the place this guys got it dialed in and you really don’t need to watch any others just to see how not to do it but this is the how to do it this guy is the top of the pile when it comes to jewelers and techniques of casting

I'm always late for these lives, unfortunately. I wanted to ask how do you anneal argentium silver? I have tried letting it cool off slowly before quenching it and also tried quenching it right after annealing, but none of them worked. It just won't soften.
