F’ing ridiculous 🙄 don’t be a lurker Not even a wizard pays 300$ for a wood pole. Check out “ski poles”they’ll blow your mind- you can still use them in tight spaces and they fit in your car without having to run them diagonally over someone’s shoulder and out an open window. If you don’t heard sheep or ski to pole vaulting practice, it’s time to upgrade.

I’ve been rocking the lurk for the last 13 years here in souther British Columbia, it has many uses! Originally a curtain rod, now I use it touring, knocking branches out of the way, as a rudder for turning, prying myself up when I get too far back, pushing and pulling my kids around as they learn to ski, and don’t forget kung fu. It’s just a fun thing to hold and bomb around with, especially in deep powder! Spread the lurk, spread the smile

Just made my first lurk. Waiting for the varnish to dry. One question, I see you skiing the trees with the two halves of the lurk. Are you worried about your face smashing into the stainless ferrule ends? I was thinking about making a couple protective caps. Thoughts?
@marshellthompson7 ай бұрын
Not really. Rarely am I actually skiing with the lurk separated

Very cool video and great skiing Marshell. I've seen tele skiers around the world using a lurk. At least half tip the lurk to the outside of the turn rather than inside. Have you tried both ways?
@marshellthompson2 жыл бұрын
ive dabbled both ways, but really whatever puts a smile on your face is the 'best' way

I just came back from my first day skiing with a lurk, and I found it really awkward until I started putting the stick the opposite way from how you do it. Once I did that, it all fell in place. Any thoughts?

I like mine about 95 inches long. most of this video i use a custom made prototype of a detachable lurk. ill be selling them here in the ear future. you can totally duck tape two broomsticks together from home depot as well.

Marsh, You are amazing! I wish you had different/closer views because I think you lose the impact of how hard slack lining is (especially standing up from a sit - going up/down hill etc.) and exactly what you are doing with your Urban lining (cool term btw).
