I saw to day a shrew. Definitely not this type of shrew but it was a shrew. I first thought it was a mouse until i saw it has such small eyes and such a long pointy nose. First time i have ever seen a shrew in person.

I was just attacked earlier today by a very aggressive American Goshawk on a hike. Dive-bombed my face three times, missing me by a foot at the most. I had to dive backwards to avoid a strike. Crazy experience! Amazing bird!!!!

I was so glad to find we have them here in New Mexico! Once I saw one in action braining a rattlesnake I said “now that’s my kinda bird!” They seem like little Velociraptors come to life, and if I had some property I would definitely encourage them! Meep Meep!

there's tons of em here in southern califorina, i see em all the time when hiking but yeah they can kinda fly, super fast and agile i've seen em fly on top of a 2 story house, so nobdy is catching one, they can cover ground super fast and while you're getting stuck by cactus they're moving around fast in the shrub and desert.

@@westoftherockies I seen a gigantic one spring straight up unto a 12 ft roof top with ease and then it landed on the roof it took off running so fast then took flight never to be seen again. It was like 3 feet tall
