I didn't expect you to get stuck on this step... you literally hovered over the correct location on your map and then dismissed it. Those were extremely precise directions she gave you to the place in Lumbridge, yet you go wandering near varrock... This quest actually predates The Lost Tribe, that's why we have this sensless "diplomatic" approach to people who don't deserve it! It does however explain why HAM was working on Seth Groats' farm during Death to the Dorgeshuun.

The kids would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for that pesky snake monster! a proportion = a percentage. I'm suprised these words and their usage trip you up. I think they use proportion over percentage because percentage sounds overly precise and modern when dealing with a medieval tithing system. They are slowly changing all the quest experience of the older quests to give lamps instead of direct experience to appease combat pures who don't want to gain experience in combat skills but still want to do quests. For quests that require you to defeat a boss they use a ring of recoil/curse prayers while not attacking or other methods of indirect damage. If you don't directly attack something and it dies nevertheless you don't gain any xp from it. The lamps allow those players to destroy them and refuse that experience and so not "ruin" their accounts.

The player character really needs to set up some kind of help clinic for all the poor alcoholics this game has... the only surprise here is that the dwarf didn't ask you to fetch you a drink first :) It was nice of this quest developer to provide all of the necessary items nearby to prevent senseless backtracking. Yeah 2006 is when they stopped messing the player around and actually started to make quests accessible. Yay, it's only taken you nearly 650 episodes and three years to get the basics of the interface down :) That snake spine is another bone piece required by the Rag and Bone man for his wishlists.

Royal Trouble, or lets knock these two idiots heads together until they stop fighting and fall in love, oh and rescue some idiot interfering kids from a giant snake. Crashed stars are very good mining xp, and if you get to their centre (usually requires a group of people) they are an excellent source of cosmic runes for ironmen if you haven't unlocked the shops that sell them.

Ah, and now the thrilling conclusion to this quest, do grunt work until the people like you enough :) The best things to get from the Kingdom Managment are the maple logs and herbs, the logs will be useful for both fletching, firemaking and much later acquiring simple parts for Invention, while herbs are always good to get for herblore trainng.

I'll repeat it again, the minimap is an extremely useful resource, knowing you needed to craft something and seeing the anvil with a yellow dot next to it would have found the right npc to talk to for the pen. Aww you cheap son of a bitch, giving Astrid a mere level 1 shortbow and just a gold ring, booooooo! At least Nickman made you get something better for her. Pretty sure Advisor Grihm would have been able to help you with the romancing Astrid part and advising you about using emotes. Tonkur isn't a false name, it's the name the Fremmenik have given you, making even more your real name in their eyes! Yes this is the most ridiculous courtship, that would get ignored by Jagex until the release of Blood Runs Deep.... Poor King Vargas has the unfortanate problem of being unable to fit out the door to his room, having the unfortunate dual existential crisis of both living as a Yeti and being unable to leave the room he is trapped in.

Yes King Vargas is an extremely unreliable narrator, a trend that will continue in fututre quests in this series :) Prince Brand certainly has enthusiasm, if only he had the talents to match it :) Advisor Grimm is a cool dude, I really need to back and manage my affairs better there at some point, I've kinda neglected it for a while...

Time to talk to King Yeti and become regent of a tiny provincial Kingdom :) They have actually recently (19th Febuary 2024) removed Heroes' Quest as a requirement for this quest, although the guard will acknowledge your membership if you have completed it. Vargas is a bit of a blowhard :) You should definitely take his stories with a large barrel of salt :) The change to be LGBT inclusive happened in 2019, I'm frankly shocked it didn't happen sooner as Princess Astrid and Prince Brand were so obviously gay coded it's unreal Astrid is a tomboy and Brand is as camp as it gets :) Old quest (2004) = clunky dialogue code unfortunately

I've really enjoyed watching this series as you move up the ascension ranks. Hearing the why's involved in the cards you pick up and the cards you play always leaves me with the "I didn't know that synergy worked like that" or "I wouldn't have thought to play in that order!" Thx for continuing!!

Some tips to finish the game and enjoy it much more Tip 1: when you recruit the homeless from their camps, you can drop 3 gold so when a homeless spawn again he automatically takes the coin you dropped and start coming towards your kingdom Tip 2: if you want to progress faster or need some help, when you pay for the map which is 2 coins needed, you can die, so it registers that you unlocked the unlockable, and when you do this for every island, you can master the game much faster and easier. Tip 3: always recruit at least 4 or 6 builders and recruit archers/hunters and as long as you don't lose some of your builders you can recruit the amount that you lose, and don't recruit farmers, they are so slow at making money, instead recruit archers Everytime, archers are both your defend and coin grinding fellows, but like I said, always recruit archers. Tip 4: you don't need to expand your kingdom, all you need is expand it just once and upgrade it Everytime you have chance, it's easier to rule smaller kingdoms. Tip 5: if your bag is full and you can't carry anymore, instead of giving your coins to bank, use them to build the boat, that way you get rid of the fullness of your bag and you progressing your escape. Tip 6: if you don't get more coins, cut some trees, but be careful don't cut the last tree that is connected to a camp, if you cut it the camp disappears and you cannot recruit people, and go up to the archers shrine and pay it until it is full, once you did it, after a day you will be rich, and remember, if you don't get a full bag Everytime you visit your archers, you are doing something wrong. Admin can you pin me so everybody sees this

Go back to work bench and make your watering can do you have the supplies for it

Don't build your place too close to that pile of rock behind you

This bossfight used to be much harder as you did far less damage to it before the evolution of combat update, even when you were using the correct damage type, so you had to make sure you had enough supplies for all the damage types. Total Level 1600, if you were a hardcore ironman (and still had that status) you would be buying your 3rd and last life at this point. You can buy the other damaged god books from Jossik and buy all the pages from the Grand Exchange to fill them (expensive but you can afford it now!). The pages are Guthix Page 1-4 and so on for the other god books, Saradomin, Zamorak, Armadyl, Bandos and Zaros. Then you can take all of these books to the Scriptorium in the Abbey east of Al Kharid. There so long as you have full prayer points you can illuminated them to upgrade them and get a hefty amount of Prayer and Crafting xp. You will need to recharge your prayer in between each illumination. This process requires 60 Crafting and 60 Prayer, but will net you a total of 60000 Prayer and Crafting xp.

The books in this quest are great, really setting the creepy tone, and will be completely missed by space bar spamming morons who just want to rush to the bossfight. This quest was released in 2004 and is definitely one of the better earlier quests. The Lovecraftian references are all over this quest ;) I love all the ridiculous acronyms in the lighthouse instruction manual :)

Downloaded the demo. Played all of 3 mins as I got into the area where the beast/monster chases you around and there didn't seem a way out. So I quit and un installed

The Lighthouse now looks incredibly spooky now the recent Fremmenik area graphical update is here. That's the problem when you are gifted an item and then just shove it in the bank and forget about it and don't really appreciate it. I think that Saradomin Godsword was a gift from Cecilia. If you had got it the ironman way you would defintely remember where it came from! It's kinda weird she would say "Thank Armadyl!" as she's a Fremmenik and they don't generally worship him or any other god, they are more into ancestor worship.

You were working for the baddies all along? Dun Dun Dunn! This quest should mark the last time the player is ever duped into doing something stupid. Although there are still nefarious deeds to be done in Mourning Ends Part 1 and later in Branches of Darkmeyer, but at least you can say you are doing them "for the greater good" Yeah the quests not being generous with Ranged xp and you not training Ranged really bites you on the rear end when it comes to the later elven quests, where suddenly high Ranged levels are required.

This quest was the first Elven quest by Mod Dylan (he of elemental workshop fame), you can note his unique touch in this chemistry puzzle, i.e it's frustrating as all hell until you figure out what you should be doing. Mod Dylan would work on the elven quests until his last one being Mourning Ends Part II (the infamous 3-dimensional light puzzle, with extra RNG agility obstacle and never ending harrassment by shadow creatures just for kicks!) You didn't get lucky, you just did it right :)

Once you start completing the elven lands tasks you can start automatically avoiding the traps if you are wearing the quiver that you get from them. The problem is that the elven lands tasks require a lot to to complete them: The "Easy" tasks require every quest in the elf storyline up to Mourning Ends Part II, the Path of Glouphrie, Desert Treasure, and Fairy Tale Part II. Completing those allows you to bypass the leaf traps automatically. The "Medium" tasks require Within the Light, The Prisoner of Glouphrie and Deadliest Catch and allow you to pass tripwires without failing them while wearing the quiver The "Hard" tasks require Plague's End and a ton of other skill requirements and wearing the quiver from them allows you to never fail the stick rake traps Then there's the "Elite" requirements that not even I have finished yet :)

It might be lovely and shiny and green, but that still doesn't stop the area being a trap laden hellhole :) The traps come in three flavours, leaves over spikes, tripwires with poison cross bow bolts attached, and the good old classic stick rake to the face and crotch! I'm level 95 agility and I still faceplant those stick traps sometimes. Theodore has wierd taste when it comes to graphical updates?? Trust me the old elves did not look better. Yeah doing Regicide without that lodestone is not an experience you want. Let's just say when I did this quest in 05/06 I had to learn to subsist on rabbits if I wanted to remain in the area (and there were still manadatory trips back and forth through the underground pass!) Lord Iowerth isn't a King (although he certainly wants to be one!), but yeah he totally trolled there by not giving you the required item first time round, and was possible just testing to see if you could make it there and back without fallling into a trap and killing yourself :) I'm afraid you always flop to the floor like a salmon leaping the wrong way out the river.. assuming you don't fail and fall into the pit.

Congratulations on finallly completing Underground Pass! Your reward, go through Underground Pass again :) At least your journey was uneventful this time. I am afraid there is a deep flaw in your plan to show outspoken kids on the reality of Santa Claus. You will prove them right by showing them the body of a long ago dead guy demonstrating that there clearly isn't a real living Santa Claus sponsered by Coca Cola :) Definitely nothing shady going on here, pay no attentione to that other elf we just murdered for no apparent reason...

While this quest has some infamously awful RNG elements, as far as solving the puzzle of building the doll of Iban is concerned, it does give you enough information to solve it. You found the beer source, you had the right idea of using a container on it but you need the right container, and there is a red dot on the minimap - the last clue staring at you in the face :) Yay you found it at last :) You just need the robes and no other items worn to get through that door, fortunately once Iban's dealt with you don't have to go through that mess again.

Thanks to your constant use of silverhawk boots your agility is 75, which makes a massive difference when trying to traverse the chasm, I remember falling off so many times the very first time I tried doing this quest on my old main character. I think I had around 40 agility on that character back in 2005. I'm pretty sure these demons and spider used to be hostile, making it much more obvious what your goal was :)

Have you played Fallout: New Vegas? It’s also very roleplay-heavy and probably my favorite alongside Pillars of Eternity. It would be interesting to see you play it if you haven't already.

I bought it last night and like it quite a bit. I see a seed making machine in the craftables but I can't make it yet. Looks like I'll be chasing birds around for a while. By the way, you can cook almost everything for double nutrition, even berries.

You completly missed the symbolism of the dove there, the point was to destroy innocence, just as Iban had done many times in his life to mirror and ressurect his consciousness.
