We are currently making a high quality rendition of the Fieseler Fi 156 Storch for Microsoft Flight Simulator! She is coming along very well so far through 3D modeling and texturing! I might have to come down to Dayton Ohio to check this out! Does anyone know if it still flies?

All of the planes here at the Air Force Museum do not fly. They are restored in order to preserve the artifacts.

I was attending a reunion years ago in the 80's, and I was at the bar with an old North American engineer that was on the XB-70 project. He got upset when I mentioned the airplane. He cursed Joe Walker, because he said Joe was attempting a barrel roll around the XB-70 showing off in front of the cameras and hit the tails attempting to do so. Did he just have too much to drink? I have always wondered. But that's what he told me. He was probably in his 70's then, and I'm sure he's gone by now...

In his book, Bob Morgan wanted the Memphis Belle to go to the museum at Wright-Patt. I remember there was a petition on the website that was maintained by his wife to have her moved from Memphis. I gladly put my name on it. Maybe it helped. I am very happy that the Memphis Belle was FINALLY restored properly and displayed in a safe environment.

There's a discrepancy, with his telling of facts. Did the Packard originate from the NMUSAF, or the Packard museum??? He wasn't very precise, in saying that.

The drone of those engines reminded me of my childhood days where i used to watch this magnificent bird fly overhead -we used to live close to the Bombay airport. Those were the days! I am 59 now and still haven't given up on airplanes. Cheers

Why is there a sign by the Swoose? Is there any possibility for a tour of this facility if planned ahead? I've always wanted to see a Sharktail B-17 in real life (in case you couldn't tell by my username) and would love the opportunity to see it

Russia stole many items/design work from YF-32. For their SU-X program. Handles better than Fat Amy. Better range. Supposed more stealthy. Russia not doing vertical TO/L. Boeing had a good thing, IF they fixed some of the design, and was more complete during trials.
