Don't knock it, Boredom and Desire are the mothers of invention, NOT necessity, which is a bogus notion and doesn't exist. RDJ is perfectly valid in his assertion that boredom is the spark of ingenuity.

Loved his attitude and approach. Both the music that he helped break and in contrast Home Truths. A great broadcaster.

Good to hear the full version. I have the video of this somewhere & that's shorter. It came on the BBC Asian show that was around at the time, I think it was called 'Network East' 🤔

That's correct. They did perform on that show.

I remember this when he played it - and I never heard it again anywhere until just now, on You Tube 😀 Who were Workforce? Does anyone know who was in the band, or what happened to them?

The best listening experience you can have with all these bands Peel Sessions is when you get the great man himself introducing the tracks it takes me back to the days when I would tape the sessions hovering over the pause button for two hours straight fucking great memories

I remember John Walters on Radio 1 in the evenings reviewing the music papers and culture in general. He was hilarious and is just as much a legendary figure as John Peel.

Definitely pub rock, very campy and Dr. Feelgood-esque guitars. Fits the timeframe too, being from 1977.
