Odd to see Donny Baseball wearing #46. Before he switched to 23. My all time fav!

Phillies trading Wilson to Seattle for Bradley I still don’t understand. Wilson was coming off 3 consecutive years of leading the National League in outfield assists. Though you could see it coming when Lee Elia took over as manager for the Phillies and immediately moved Wilson from the 5 hole to 7th. Bradley also was having a tough year in Philly.

I'm fixated on why in the world Cox didn't bring in Rocker earlier. After not being needed in game 1 or game 2, you don't bring in your best reliever until the bases are loaded with no outs in the 10th with on the road? It worked out, but I guess Cox had that old school mind set of you use your closer only when you have a lead. Would be unfathomable today.

The more time that passes by the more people forget how good Dale Murphy was. He carried that franchise for years, often with very little help. I hope the veterans committee puts him in the HOF before he passes.

Ah, 1985 9 1/2 years old Just learning about MLB, and became obsessed with Kansas City 🏙️ Royals team. Thou, I was still trying to get into the game. Then I got seriously into New York Mets, 85 - 86 We all what happened in 1986 😂 with the Mets Good Times 🥃🔥 Grew up Northeast Jersey across from Manhattan Very serious with the New York Yankees when Joe Torre took over in the 90’s cause my Late Father always liked him. Of course the 90’s Yankee dynasty 💙 Now age 49, living in Deep Rural Georgia, enjoying Atlanta Braves MLB baseball ⚾️ 🇺🇸🔥 Still very fond of those New York years

Sad Jason Schmidt at teatime was the best Giants pitcher they can rely on since Kirk Rueter was already past his prime Sidney Ponson was crap and Robb Nen has a career ending injury so they don’t have a true reliable Closer

This was the first time the Dodgers lost the NLCS. Given that the Dodgers had gotten the Phils twice in the '70's, they definitely owed LA.

I hate the thought of nights in Tampa with the host Tampa Bay Giants hosting their rival Los Angeles Dodgers, celebrating former Tampa Bay Giants great Willie Mays. Ugh...hell no.

J.R. worked hard to overcome his bouts with wildness and once he could locate his pitches, became the best pitcher in baseball, which he was when hit by the stroke. Gone were the days he would be sailing along then walk three, four, five batters straight and have to be removed. He had incredible stuff and was as close as you can get to being unhittable. The Astros always seemed to have a knack for mishandling people, mishandling situations, and the way they mishandled J.R. Richard was abhorrent. So sad and tragic. Still pisses me off!

Wow, what a ballgame and what a finish....have to be very few titles decided that way over years on any level. Literally found this one by accident too, looking in archives tonight for your very oldest game posted just to make my choice a little easier amongst all the content you and other channels have and glad I did. Great stuff. Well worth spending a few late-night hours on. Some pretty big names going forward here too, David Freese in particular stood out for me.
