Summertime is one thing in Ocean City, but a majority of the year winter time is a completely different experience building a fire on the boardwalk we would look and breaking into summer houses and party bunch of crazy kids in Ocean City but it was a safe clean place to grow up and an excellent high school But living there most of the year you felt like everybody was somewhere else. It was so empty and so quiet I can remember hearing the wind whipping around howling through the buildings. And that wind would come off the ocean and go right through you. It was always fun to see snow on the beach didn’t happen very often but when it did, it was pretty cool.

The Surf Shop back in the 80s it was called Edwards Store sold vintage items I have been coming here since 1978 and my wife has ben coming since 1954.

I have to tell you what I witnessed back in '92. At the time I was a reenactor in Gettysburg for the July 1-3 battle. At that time, reenactors were not allowed to carry firearms, powder, caps or bullets on the batlelfield. I snuck onto Big Roundtop (next to Little Roundtop which I knew would be patrolled) with nothing more than a gum blanket to sleep on. At daybreak, I awoke to the sound of hollered commands and worked my way to view the Slaughter Pen below. There was a regiment of Confederate soldiers in perfect battle line of two approaching Devil's Den. I was startled by the reenactors who had rifles with bayonets at the ready while gunfire and canon reports then came from the peak above Devil's Den. I thought they were in big trouble with the park rangers who even back then had night vision binoculars. As a mist descended, all was quiet and the reenactors disappeared. Later, I went to the Cyclorama to congratulate the staff on their stunning daybreak display. They looked at me as if I had two heads but as I left a ranger quietly approached me , smiled and said, "So you saw them too. Welcome to Gettysburg".

As someone who has lived near Gettysburg since 1980 I would say there is almost nothing to do there.

We’ve never stayed at any DE or MD beaches, always going first to Sea Isle, and then for the last 25 years, OCNJ, but we’ll be in Rehoboth for a week starting 9/7/24. And I like Grotto pizza… 🫡

Baltimore city use to be a triple gem but it went to hell cause of west Baltimore from two pac to Freddy gray all of Baltimore county and city is like Newark NJ I'm really sorry that's happened to such a wonderful seaport max from Calvert county MD

Just to let you know the falcon you see at around 4 minutes is there every day for a fly over. The sea gulls won't come down to the board walk and steal your food or poop on the boardwalk cause they know the falcon is there.

Today is the *1* year anniversary of when this was uploaded! Since I last went to Coney Island in 2021, I wasn't aware of the newer rides and/or attractions until now. I'll never willingly go through the Sky Chaser course or ride the Wonder Wheel. I have a *major* fear of heights! 🤓➡️😅

I grew up in Bethesda and we used to go to OC almost every summer. I moved to Illinois in 1973 and the last time in was in OC was in 1998 with my late wife. It was always one of my favorite places but it's probably too crowded these days.
