No, your looking at it in the wrong way, the verse love never fails, is talking about Gods love for us. Its not talking about mankinds love, however you can look at that verse and see that “ oh man God still loves us even when we sin”. Because his love never fails us, we can see how we arnt anywhere close to Gods standard of love.

That’s his point: people aren’t doing love correctly. Love between a man and a woman is supposed to emulate the love between Christ and the church.
@PeaceInTheChaos.2 ай бұрын
Yes your right but the point we were making is if we’re supposed to be Christian Christ like then we need to be like Jesus Christ and we need to love how God loves that’s God’s definition of love so If we aren’t following his definition of love then it isn’t love

The part about conviction vs condemnation !! “Conviction is specific and tells you what you’re doing wrong, condemnation tells you that there’s something wrong with you.” That’s a bar

Great episode! Ive even had the habit of praying for the answers but never seeking them in the Bible. Watching videos like this and creating the time and space to sit and read the word is where I find the most clarity. Keep on going, looking forward to the next episode!

The bit about comparing your walk to others’… I learned that through martial arts; I was never quite as good at sparring as my peers, and comparing myself to them made me feel sad, etc. But then my Sensei told me that I shouldn’t be comparing myself to others. I should be comparing myself to myself. What can *I* do today that I couldn’t do yesterday? How far have *I* come? It’s a really valuable lesson! Also the editing in this is just [chef’s kiss]

Loved the part about there being a time to love the person and a time to hate the sin. Sometimes people are broken down and they just need to feel the love of Christ, and other times people need that wake up call that there is something in their life to fix.

26:49 - wow. This bit really got me; I was just thinking about how every time there’s a cute girl I like, she already has a boyfriend or something. I think God’s speaking to me through you guys!
So how does one further their intimacy and relationship with Jesus? And how have yall furthered your relationship with Jesus? Good episode, 10/10 gonna recommend 🕺🏿

Thank you for the comment and support. I would say to further your intimacy would be to talking to him regularly doesn’t need to be no hour prayer of empty words but just start talking to him like you talk to your friends, and also get in his word. When you read the Bible you will feel real close to him and he will reveal things to you that you need through reading his word, hope that answers your question?

Nice! I’m so glad you were able to get out of your pits and reconnect with God! So much of what you guys said is just filled with truth, and I can’t wait for the next episode! Question: Byron mentioned that the pastor at his church is a woman. I know that many Christians believe women aren’t allowed to be pastors, so I’m curious to hear your position on this. Again, great show, looking forward to the next episode! God bless you guys!
@PeaceInTheChaos.3 ай бұрын
Thank you for that, and yea about your question at my church Resurrection Church hickory, our Pastor is a man Apostle Steve Deitz but his wife is a prophetess Prophetess Balinda Deitz she has the gift and has been called to that I’ve grown up calling her that so pastor is not her correct title. But men and women do have different roles in the church I don’t believe a woman should be the head of the church but there are many big roles women should play in the Church, and gifts and callings that the lord has on their life.
