My birthday is Valentine's day and I cried off and on all day about this beautiful little girl and the immense loss this mom had to face. It broke my heart. I still think of this sweet baby girl every year. I didn't know this mom and daughter but I felt and feel connected somehow.

This interview is absolutely amazing. I think it is wonderful when a person has a career that they find so enjoyable that it feels like an extension of their personality. Mary is just being herself (loving food, enjoying cooking, being bubbly, etc.) and she is able to make money while doing it. That is fantastic. I view her success story (getting her own cooking show) as an example of why it can be beneficial to take time to explore one's passions. Although she was working at the insurance brokerage she nurtured her passion for cooking by being open to entering the Master Chef Canada contest. If she had not entered that contest perhaps she wouldn't have her own show. Mary's experience reminds me of the importance of having an awareness of exciting opportunities (including events, contests, and opportunities to meet new people) that are related to my interests, hobbies, etc. It reinforces the value of looking online, in newspapers, using social media, television ads, word of mouth, etc. to uncover opportunities. It is awesome that she had a friend that was into reality television and her family encouraged her to enter the contest. Good for Mary for not just talking and thinking about the Master Chef contest but taking action and entering it!!!! The saying "opportunities multiply as they are seized" applies here. It must have been exhilarating for her to submit photos to the Master Chef production company and be offered the opportunity to have her own show. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Hmmm. So Mary has a Master's Degree in Information Technology and an undergraduate degree in English. It is nice that she is able to draw on her English studies to assist with creating the cookbooks. Her story is so inspiring. I like how the combination of Mary's personality, relationships, passion for cooking, etc. all came together to play a role in her success. That is great synchronicity. I was saddened to her about the tragedy her family faced when Mary was young. Fortunately, she appears to have a resilient personality. Thanks for doing this interview Priya! It is outstanding.

What a true entertainer. I have so much respect for him. The fact he didn't want to disrespect the audience by phoning it it says so much. I do feel like much of the rest of the cast had mutual feelings. Sometimes you just know when it's time to pack up and move onto other ventures. TPB seasons 1-7 an movies like "countdown to liquor day" are something magical and something that didn't feel played out or forced. Absolute legend.
