Hi i hope you see this seeing this is an old video but I have some sure grip fame wheels 95a they are perfect indoors but once I get outside I lose my ability to be as smooth as I am indoors like everything takes so much more effort so I’m wondering since they are grippy as u can get for indoor wheels are they just too grippy for outdoor since obviously using them outdoor on unpolished concrete will be more grippy than using them inside so should I just get a harder wheel to combat the grip because I’ve tried skating in soft wheels to see if it’s the fsct the small rocks are slowing me down because it’s one of those concretes that are just made up of lots of small rocks but I hated skating in them so maybe I should get harder wheels

@rollerskateuniverse6763Ай бұрын
@MrGirodog as of right now, I'm exclusively running avenger mags. I have 3 sets. Sizes 3, 4, and 5. (160mm, 170mm, and 180mm wheelbases) I run them all on size 10s. They sit up higher and they're a little heavier than you'd think, but the maneuverability is unmatched by anything else on the market and replacement parts are cheap, durable, accessible, and plentiful.
@MrGirodogАй бұрын
I tried those but when had them fitted I forgot to take into account the very long wheel base . The rear axel was hanging off the back of the heel . Felt like I was on skis. Didn’t like that . Lost my agility imo . Good for cruising down the street though I guess .
@rollerskateuniverse6763Ай бұрын
@MrGirodog the axles sit almost flush with the rear end of the plate on the Avengers, as they're recommended to run forward mounted. What I did to help this, is to downsize by 1 size and push them forward so the front end of the plate is about 1/2" from the toe of the boot

I’ve worked in many industrial construction fields over the past 20 years and you should always need to freeze bearings for them to fit in something properly. If a bearing slides right in that’s not a good thing, that means that the hub wasn’t properly machined for the bearing. I’m not sure why you think that a bearing should easily go in a hub but that’s completely wrong.

I realize this is an older video but I’m going to try my luck at a response anyway. When I was a teen I went skating every weekend. I bought my own skates but my friend told me the wheels were crap so he gave me a set he wasn’t using. They were on the smaller side and white. I used them and never had any issues. Fast forward 30 years and I am now taking my kids skating and getting back into it. I’m going to get myself a set of skates as I don’t have the ones I had as a teen. After some research I believe the white wheels I had as a teen were sure-grip all American plus. I remember my friend making a big deal about them being made of vanathane. I’m currently looking at some rollerbones nitro 97a. If I was on the all Americans as a teen would these nitro’s feel too soft to me? The rental skates I have been using seem too soft and make me work too hard. It seems that the all Americans rate around 101a is there that much difference between a 97a and a 101a? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I find the pro-line does the most out of the 3 for really much less work. The advantage really requires a lot more adjustment to get the most out of it, and steering is pretty limited on the powertrac comparatively. If you do shuffling predominantly, the powertracs are easily the best. The stability at speed, the shortest nose, and lowest price make it the winner for shuffle

The 220 will be a little better because the construction is a little better. Although, depending on where the pain is located, it may be remedied easily. If the pain is at the bottom of the foot, may be an insole. Top of foot, lacing differently can help
