3:49 That's your stepper motor generating electricity because you moved it with the printer off/stepper motors enabled. Don't do that. It can damage your motors

hi. i know im late but i need to ask. i bought a creality ender 3 a few days ago, and i might have accidentaly left the voltage switch on the power box lower than the outlet voltage. my brother turned the printer on and the screen flashed. then the whole printer shut off and we smelled something burning for a second.. is it just the powersupply i messed up or did i ruin the whole printer? 😅🥲

Heeey, thermal paste helps parts conduct heat between them. A good place for thermal paste, would be between the heat block and the thermistor close to the nozzle. Conducting more heat to the thermistor, sealing any gaps between the two, helping the printer more accurately know what the hot end temp is. A bad place for thermal paste, would be using it to clog up the cooling fins, impeding air flow over them, reducing cooling area, increasing temps of what your trying to cool, etc... noticing on the old hot end 🙃.

Just a clarification, Dell is hardware manufacturer. Chrome OS is a google product developed by Google, not Dell. I have a Lenova Chromebook. They are also different versions, different processors, some have Linux compatibility. They do suck, but different reasons depending on what version of the OS you're running.

You're using the wrong size screw driver, that's why you had difficulty undoing it. Right size, right profile will make a huge difference! (The "heat cylinder" is called a thermistor. Instead of apologizing for not knowing terms, learn the terms first: contributes greatly to credibility! The video itself is great.)

I find it hard to believe you were able go that fast on a stock Ender 3 without some major modifications. On mine my extruder starts clicking which leads to nozzle clogging if I try to go over 70mm/s. I also think you would need a high flow hotend and make some changes to the firmware to print at 150mm/s. Of course I do not consider myself an expert so I could be wrong.

I'm printing on a stock ender 3 at 100mm/s with pollymaker lite abs with no real problem just turned it to 110 for a min to see if it could do it haven't seen any problems yet
