I'm from Portugal, I've been a Trijntje fan for some years. I follow everything she's done from the Bacharach songbooks to "The Ladies of Soul", etc. I love her voice, her incredible good taste and everything in her. Being a hard S.Wonder fan, I love this concert too, and Hans Vroomans is a hell of a pianist. Doesn't matter that I cannot understand her when she talks.

"Come to my door"... I have listened to that song about a hundred times, and it still feels like I'm hearing it for the first time. It just melts my heart ❤❤❤❤

He plays everything too fast with strange rubato that does not fit the composers intention I think. Just the way a show off would do it. Too bad cause this piece is sublime and Jean does not open that mysterious door to let us in! Sorry to be the critical voice here but someone needs to give an honest opinion. Cheers

Don’t forget to use as much flexibility as possible to create perhaps new hybrid genres to educate and bring in those completely unfamiliar with opera and classical music in general. I personally think visuals similar to KZfaq TV Zen moments could be used in conjunction with classical music in order to bring visual into the interpretation just like an English libretto brings to understanding the lyrics of opera.

I was there! I stood right in front of Crosby, Stills, and Nash when they first sang and played these tunes. 1969. When these guys play, you can close your eyes and hear the past! Most times you can't go back but these guys are the closest thing! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

Stokowski wished to conduct a concert on his 100th birthday. Blomstedt may actually do so...? (Elliott Carter was still composing at 103!)

No baton, minimal gestures, yet the Maestro held orchestra and audience in his hands. An underappreciated master.

Fantastico!
