Thanks! Is it possible to do this on a sewing machine or do you recommend by hand? And, what needle size do you use? Also, do you only recommend embroidery tread or will regular thread do?

For someone who struggles with spacial predictions, (if I flip this and sew this and then pin this side to that side and then turn it and then flip it, and then sew this to that and then flip _that_ inside out and and and....aghhhhhhhhhhhhh), this video was dizzying. It was like trying to thread a needle on a tiltawhirl while someone is quizzing me on U.S history. I need you to talk to me in a way that makes you actually fear that you sound condescending. But thanks for the video anyway. It helped someone I'm positive.

First video I watched about sashiko. How lucky am I that it was this one. I love this woman and I'm about to go find more of her stuff. I might actually be able to learn how to get started doing sashiko. Thanks for this video.

Thank you for sharing-I found this very useful while trying to figure out how to hand-finish the hems on a pair of shorts. Even with contrasting thread the hem on the outside is almost invisible-so exciting!!! I really enjoy this stitch. One thing I would have appreciated is if you would have shown us how to finish/end the stitch once we’ve finished hemming.

Anyplace where I can get written instructions, please? Jo is not getting enough speaking/focused video time in this episode. Having a commentator is really distracting.
