How Often Should this Method be Done or Not Done, in Your Opinion?
@CurlyNikkie5 ай бұрын
I did it for 7 days straight and then did it again after a month. Now I do it at least once in 2 months. So I'd recommend at most once a month and at least once every 3 months or when you feel your hair is super super in need of moisture

Hi Nicole , If I do a twist out with the hair falling more or less how yours is in this video, but I don’t want it to obstruct my vision, like always in my eyes , what tips do you have ?
@CurlyNikkie6 ай бұрын
Hey, I usually put a bobby pin under that section of hair that's falling in my face and it pulls it up. I think I demonstrated how I do that in my "how to prevent shrinkage video"

The mini electric hot comb I bought from Amazon heats up to between 450 -500 degrees. It gets my hair straight and stays 90-95٪ straight until I wash it again with no heat damage. I also purchased another electric hot comb that allows me to choose the temperature up thru 500 degrees, but I haven't used it yet. I say all that to say that today's electric hot combs absolutely gets hot enough and gets the job done. For context, my hair is 4a and 4b textures. Check what's out there again. 😊 Also, it wasn't until I learned the best technique (spine of the comb actually straightens the hair) that I saw the same results I had as a child with the old school hot comb. And if you use it right, it can eliminate the flat iron/comb technique altogether.
@CurlyNikkie8 ай бұрын
Wow. I will definitely be on the look out for better hot combs out there. Thank you.
@Yo-yo-dt5ze8 ай бұрын
Them electric straightening combs don’t get hot like the ones you put on the stove I just started back using my hot comb I have 4c hair I had to learn through trial and error that it’s the back of the comb that straightens the hair the teeth just helps to glide through hair
@CurlyNikkie8 ай бұрын
I learned that lesson really quick for sure because the comb was doing nothing. Next time I will try the back end

So with an electric hot comb you have to heat it at the highest heat use some greAse and you have to pull the comb thru your hair with the back of the comb

The electric hot combs don’t do the job!!!!! I’ve been getting my hair hot combed since I was 7… So I kno for a fact! But with the old school hot comb your hair would’ve been FLAT AND STRAIGHT!! Try the normal 1 next time and you’ll LOVE the outcome!! ❤ Best Wishes Beautiful…

Thank you ❤️ . Next time I'm definitely trying the old school hot comb because this wasn't it for sure
