A talented player and one of my favorites, her problem was in several axes, most notably that she changed many coaches and this has affected her professional level

I’m sorry but there was never any reason post 2002 for either Williams sister to not be on Centre Court at Wimbledon

Cavaday played well, it must've been a big thrill to play on centre court against a grass court titan that was also the defending champion.

Sharapova hated Radwanska at this point. This was a straight up grudge match for Radwanska beating Sharapova at the US Open.

Hate is maybe a strong word, but they really couldn't stand each other 🤣🤣🤣 Spicy rivalry to say at least.

One of my favorite matchups. The h2h may have been one sided, but they've always provided great matches ☝🏽

@@themsharapova8 I know, I still can’t believe Sharapova lost to Radwanska in that miami final and that she never won that tournament.

It was so mesmerizing to see Sania in 2005 as being first women from India to enter in the field of Lawn Tennis and had a lethal forehand. We in India used to admire Williams sister for having a powerful winners but seeing Sania first time in AO 2005 and producing as big forehand as Serena was just awesome to watch.

I don't think Venus ever served as consistently big as she did during Wimbledon 2008. Every match her serve was 120mph and above. 127 in this match alone!

Venus became the lowest ranked (#31, seeded 23) player to win Wimbledon. She went all the way and beat the # 2, 5, 6 and 18 seeds en route… dropping only 2 sets in the 1st/3rd rounds…

People love to shit on Safina, but she was a phenomenal player who suffered a career ending injury at the age of 23. If she had stayed healthy she would have won a Slam.

Amerykańska numer jeden Serena Williams z łatwością pokonała czołową rozstawioną Marię Szarapową 6:1, 6:1 i dotarła do ćwierćfinału Miami Masters, po raz kolejny osiągając wynik końcowy Australian Open. zdjęciezdjęcie TENIS 2007 WTA Miami Serena Williams Źródło obrazu: Reuters Williams, która rozegrała swój pierwszy turniej od czasu, gdy w styczniu pokonała Szarapową i sięgnęła po ósmy tytuł wielkoszlemowy, wyprzedziła drugą pozycję na świecie w 58 minut. Keys is one of the rare players who can truly overpower Serena (Venus, Kvitova, Giorgi and Hradecka are the only others). But that isn’t enough because Keys doesn’t have a lot of variety in her game nor a great shot selection.

This happened because of her 2009 US Open behavior. The Queen Elizabeth II was visiting, they couldn't risk another "I will put this ball in your f*cking mouth" incident. USO 2009 incident eliminated her chances to play for the Queen. They couldn't risk Queen seeing her wild outburst.

sania's game was always well rounded. she was not afraid to grind a point. she was not afraid to take risks to get those winners. especially her shot selection. it was so varied. in this match against Henin, it felt like she was on edge, and panicky, maybe because it was against Henin, but you can still see many brilliant points. Now a days you don't see the brilliance in any of the pro Indian tennis players. they always keep playing those short balls, literally feeding their opponents, they dont make their opponents run. look at summit nagal's game, or Karman Kaur.

Notice those times when Monica just was not quite in position with her footwork, or stroke extension when she hits the ball.. Often it was Evert's sidespin that drew those errors. Sidespin is just not something Seles would have met much in junior matches or on the tour. Its sort of a relic from Chrissies wood racket days where the slightest misjudgement with that smaller sweet spot leads to an error. Even more effective on carpet or hard courts when one is less mentally and physically prepared for 'bad' or wierd bounces you get on clay or grass, or with younger players who simply have not experienced it. There is not much that Evert does out there that is remotely unintentional and every stroke is part of a plan. Evert is always playing chess as well as tennis.

In the end too much power from Kim, and also her defensive and improvisation skills were too solid. Radwanska couldn't play cat and mouse as succesfully as she does against other players. Point at 10:40 is the perfect example, Kim still reaches that shot and hit an amazing running short BH cross for a winner.

this match is proof that if Jennifer had had the perseverance to stay focused on physical and mental preparation, she would have won many more matches against Serena Williams. Serena in an interview spoke of Jennifer simply as one of her who "also won a couple of slams"... but instead she was the only one of all those from 2000 to 2004, who managed to beat her 7 times. none like her and in such a short time. In terms of talent, Jennifer was much more gifted than Serena. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't understand anything about tennis and Serena remains a braggart. jennifer was a legend... she beat at least once all the world number 1s she met during her entire career, even at the age of 14.❤

This match was pure entertainment from both players! I was on the edge of my seat watching it live. I wish someone could upload Schiavone vs Wozniacki AO quarterfinals. Schiavone played magical tennis the first set and was up a break in the second. Then she gassed out because of her marathon match against Kuznetsova in the previous round.
