I have to agree with Bill on the obesity drugs. Remember Xenical (orlistat)? It also caused a major buzz, end of obesity, blablabla. Now: "In a new attempt to eliminate the only FDA-approved class of weight-loss drugs, Public Citizen issued a petition to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Thursday -- its second in five years -- calling for the agency to ban the class of drugs called orlistat, better known by the prescription brand names Xenical and Alli. "These drugs have the potential to cause significant damage to multiple critical organs, yet they provide meager benefits in reducing weight loss in obese and overweight patients," said Dr. Sidney Wolfe, director of Public Citizen's Health Research Group." In my opinion HEALTH clubs should not be involved with drugs of any kind. These obesity drugs may be important for OBESE people, but they are always used by women wanting to lose 10 pounds. Let the medical community and the pharma industry profit from them.

Think that a true wholistic wellness approach is key to get at the 80% our industry has historically failed in attracting. It will take pioneers working on how to best deploy these technologies and monetize them. The idea of marketing "feel better now" to the 80% may be the ticket, but we have to create an environment and messaging that resonates with this group. How to do this AND keep our existing members happy will take experimentation in the market. Wise to keep an eye on groups like Covery and Restore Wellness - much we can learn from them.

I strongly advise against investing in the fit3D machine, as it has proven to be a highly disappointing purchase for us. The inaccurate scans provided by the machine have led to a significant decrease in our clients' morale, negatively impacting their experience with our services. Furthermore, despite initial promises of no additional fees, the company blindsided us a few months post-purchase, demanding an annual payment of $1,200 to continue using the $8,000 device. This deceptive business practice has left us feeling exploited and dissatisfied, leading us to conclude that engaging with this company is a decision best avoided.

When you have speakers who are quoting CNN, DEI, and solar, which happens to be controlled by the Chinese at an 80% market share. Take careful note. You don’t want these people representing your business.

Anyone who advocates for corporate capital into the industry is advocating for the destruction of your business. These globalist capitalists have only one duty and that is a return to shareholders. The only efficiency gained is to them. This is described as a Walmart effect and will absorb small business and independent operators. Any CEO of any organization who advocates for capital infusion and takeover should be inundated with calls for their resignation. Take careful note who extend open arms.

I hope the community sees which guest welcomes corporate capital. These are the same globalist capitalists who will sell your business from underneath you. It's great to see new and better fitness equipment and its even better to see the passion that the creators and designers have for their products.

Here's what everyone at the gym has to say about it. " I really like the Technogym machines. However, the weights are too light. It would be great if the machines could hold more weights." I've heard these opinions so many times in the gym. Technogym developers, if you see this comment, put more weights on the machine and sell it. That will make everyone happy. AI might be ready after that.
