I actually prefer this OVA series and the 2000 movie. Keiichi and Belldandy are more straightforward with their feelings and the stories seem more realistic than the 2005 series (though I love the opening songs). I hope they'd do more in this format even though the manga has ended 9 yrs ago.

This takes me back to high school freshman year. I started reading OMG back when Dark Horse Comics released the books front to back instead of the traditional back to front style. They were so much fun to read and see how the artist style changed over the course of time. I wished this was released as a regular series instead of an collection of OVA episodes. I know there's AMG, but i would much rather have this. But make no mistake, i did enjoy watching AMG. The intro songs were so good. Especially season 2 with the bagpipes.
