The regular batteries use 18650 cells the "premium" Hercules batteries use larger 21700 cells. Same stuff Milfaulkee does with thier batteries afaik.
@themaintenanceman1
@themaintenanceman1 14 күн бұрын
For sure. I was talking about the design of it is the same as the normal batteries just ALOT bulkier but in a cheap looking way like I wish with the bigger cells they could have still slimmed down the design like Milwaukee and even my ryobi regular compared to the hp they almost look identical it’s the same blueprint. I didn’t explain that well in the video though. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!

How is the Hercules a budget friendly when it's like over $160 for ratchet battery and charger

It's almost priced the same as a Milwaukee M12 fuel
@themaintenanceman1
@themaintenanceman1 19 күн бұрын
@@joshbennett5335 so it’s 70 dollars and then with a coupon you get a free 12v 2ah battery and the charger is about 40$ so 110 plus tax. If you purchased Milwaukees cheap one plus a charger plus a battery it’s running you a lot more because Milwaukee batteries cost more then the bare tool ratchet. But you’re right it’s probably the least budget friendly option of the three ratchets. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@mannynunez7032 my honest answer is I sold these not to long ago because I’ve always been heavily invested in ryobi but I wish I would have kept these. The quality especially on the circ saw and one handed recip saw are head and shoulders above what ryobi has. Hope that helps

@andrestnt 25 күн бұрын
Craftsman is aware of the issue, it also afected the 1/4 inch. They have since replaced the ratchets with the new low profile versions, you can go exchange it for that one. All those kits are on clearance now, still a great kit for 16$, just warranty, replace the ratchet with the new one. At such a cheap price its hard for me to really fault them for issues. You have to expect some quality drop from a tool kits thats constantly sold under 20$. if worried, just open the ratchet up an loose a spring or something, and go exchange it. Just make sure the new one is the low profile version.

Do you have a video for those of us (meaning me) on how to get it started the first time. I am sure I am doing something wrong. I have tried to get it to spin but I don't understand exactly what buttons and what order for my saw to even come on. I know how to use a hyper tough corded skil saw. Please don't fall out of your chair laughing at me either. 😂
@themaintenanceman1
@themaintenanceman1 Ай бұрын
lol. No worries. I would say make sure the battery is fully charged, make sure it’s inserted into the tool properly, then there is a safety trigger you got slide to the right (I think or it might go right and left) but you have to use one hand to slide that and pull the trigger and the saw should start spinning. If it doesn’t you might just have a dead battery. Like no good at all. Thanks for the question.
