We were at this tournament. The week before everything shut down. The score keeper (girl in blacks wearing glasses) is one of our friends from my son's school. My son judged another ring on the other side of the gym.

no,its only for light contact,there are boxing headguards with face bars if you want to save your nose but youll never be a good fighter with one because it restricts vision and defense a lot.

Please make video testing the shield against boxing glove blows! The concern I have is that I am 185lbs and I hit hard, what if it breaks and cuts the eyes of user? Please make a test video if you want to tap into boxing

In ATA, it's against the rules to punch to the face. Only allowed punches are to the chest gear. Yes, it is a stupid rule. It's why I switched from ATA to Muay Thai & BJJ once I became a teenager. Taekwondo is great for developing skills from a very young age, but it quickly becomes impractical once you are in teen and adult years. Muay Thai or BJJ is a better martial art to learn if seeking to learn a useful fighting style for self-defense.
