That ford jack will lift twice as high as a hydraulic bottle jack, if what your lifting is far from the jack block up the jack, a screw jack won't leak down like hydraulic so the ford jack is safer too

This is a great video and that's a pretty significant upgrade! I kinda did a similar thing I just got me a 1975 Massey Fergusson 245 with the continental gas engine upgraded from my 1947 Ford 2N. I love the Massey hell of a lot more powerful.

I'm trying to figure out what all I can run with a 1085. We use a 1130 and 1135 for almost everything currently but it would be nice to take advantage of fuel savings when possible.

The heaviest things I have run with mine so far is a NH 847 round baler and the Rhino SE 15-4 brush hog. And it runs them great. The Rhino I can run 3rd gear, but if it is really thick I drop to 2nd. It is the heaviest I have ran on it. I hope this helps you out.

@@308ranger8 so far this season I have mowed about 150 acres with a 15 foot Rhino, mowed about 70 acres of hay with a haybine, rolled about 120 bales, some discing with it this year with zero problems. It is a treat to run. I will warn you, it is not a rookie tractor. You need to know how to use the torque amplifier. It is not hard to figure out. But it will free wheel on you if you are no paying attention.
