Holy crap! My turfteq 36 inch soil conditioner has been starting like crap for a year and half now are you telling me this was my issue the entire time??? haha gonna go find out.
@TurfTeqАй бұрын
This certainly could be the issue. Normally hard starting is either caused by the choke not engaging properly, or the carb needing serviced or replaced. Those are the two most likely issues of a hard starting engine. As always, if you have any questions or need to speak with a Turf Teq technical service specialist, give us a call!
@honestjason7854Ай бұрын
@@TurfTeq It sure was, runs good now. I might be making a video of some upgrades im gonna make to the 36 inch power rake. I want to install electric up and down and angle.
@TurfTeqАй бұрын
@@honestjason7854 Glad to hear that resolved the issue for you! If you ever need anything else, just give us a call. If the engine is the stock engine that came with the machine there is going to be an issue with adding electrical components to the machine. The engine you most likely have is the GXV390 sub-model DA23. That specific engine does not have a charging system, so it cannot charge a battery, run electrical actuators, or be equipped with an electric start. There is a way to convert the engine to have electrical output on it but it involves changing the flywheel and adding the charging system components. By the time you add those components, it would likely be cheaper to just swap the engine with one that already has electric output equipped as standard equipment.

Looks pretty good. I have a small, electric snow blower, but the cable is a hassle and it doesn't clear light snow very well; best when a thicker layer has accumulated. Would like to have something that's good for either situation, thin or thick layer of snow. A full on tractor would be overkill for my driveway, but something like this might be just right.

Looks like a snowblower dumbed down... I feel like this would work in light snow but anything over a few inches and heavy it's not gonna even move
@TurfTeq7 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. The maximum effective depth for heavy wet snow is 6-8 inches depending on the traction conditions. When it comes to a colder, drier snow, the maximum depth the machine can handle is 12". The key to our machine being effective is the weight of the machine being directly over the drive tires, the locking differential, aggressive drive tire tread, and the fact that we fill our tires with a liquid ballast that helps with traction. Another factor that helps with the traction is the geometry of how the blade is attached to the machine. The more snow its pushing, the more force gets transferred to the drive tires, giving it even more pushing power.

Thanks for buying a used Turf Teq. If you ever need technical assistance please don't hesitate to give us a call. These Honda engines are rock solid. If you are having issues starting there is a VERY high likelihood the choke isn't engaging properly, the carburetor needs cleaned/replaced, or the gas in the tank has gone bad. Not much we can do to assist with finding an electric start, but if you need any help please reach out to us. We are always happy to assist!

Go to our KZfaq main page and check out our 'how to change attachments' series of videos where we walk you through the best practices for changing the attachments. If you do need any manuals give us a call and we'd be happy to send out replacement copies for you!

Do you have plow options? Like a funnel plow or a wider, smaller plow for light snows. How about weighted wheels?
@TurfTeq Жыл бұрын
Hey Ron, We do not have a funnel Plow at this point in time. The 46" wide plow is the only option we have available currently. The drive tires on the machine are liquid weighted with ~40Lbs of ballast in each giving the plow unbelievable traction for the size that it is. It can plow up to 12" of colder dry snow. If you have any questions about the machine please don't hesitate to give us a call. We have a knowledgeable staff on hand here at Turf Teq that can answer any/all questions you may have about the Plow or any of our other machines. Hello very good video I was wondering how you were able to back the machine down without it running you over?..thank you in advance for your reply...Anthony
@TurfTeq Жыл бұрын
Hey Anthony, The key to not getting run over is to lock the differential on the transmission which locks the drive tires together. From there, the hydrostatic transmission takes care of the rest as whenever you let off the forward/reverse control the transmission comes to a stop. Even on a very steep slope it will immediately slow down to a crawl when you let off of the forward/reverse control. Of course, having soft aggressive tires also helps with traction on metal ramps in the snow. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to give us a call!

hows this setup work with wind against you?
@TurfTeq Жыл бұрын
Depends on the snow conditions. If its heavy wet snow it won't really effect the operator but if the snow is light powder it can blow back. Aftermarket snow blower enclosures are available and can be adapted to fit the broom machine to prevent the operator from getting any snow blown back on them. Also, if its possible you should always try to have the wind at you back or blowing sideways. We understand this is not always possible.
