as a top-tier movie director (Ted Hecksey, look me up), a former real-estate mogul, and corporate leader, I can with 100% confidence confirm that this is how all of us corporate leaders think. Effing Lemon.

I'm shocked anyone doesn't immediately die of cringe during this scene. Smoke and mirrors; Bruce Greenwood's delivery masks how painfully obtuse these words are. So bad. Show was a mixed bag but this scene almost made me quit watching. It was the highest example of my problem with the show.

My man Carl Lumbly as Dupin! He has been around for decades, but he is aging into a chiseled version of William Marshall, who could steal scenes from anyone back in the 50s and 60s, even from William Shatner on Star Trek. Marshal was in 'The Ultimate Computer', foretelling all the difficulties we're having with AI back in 1968.

The advantage of being a screenwriter is that you can take a month constructing a speech like that, then have the actor rattle it off in two minutes so he looks like an utter genius.

I used to play an online game which had an "auction house" that operated exactly like a market.. I'd buy stuff out and then I'd resell it. I'd hike prices then lower em, sometimes i needed a boatload of materials for example, I'd create a false history of sales lmao yup. I was rich lol. Online only, I played too much. I have money, not that kind...

A beautifully crafted dialogue from "The Fall of the House of Usher" presents a satirical and exaggerated critique of modern capitalism and its mechanisms, as portrayed through the metaphor of lemons. Profit and the nature of consumerism and the ethical considerations of business practices. Or simply, "f'ing lemon!"
