A fascinating interview which was very professionally conducted by Mike Sheahan. Mark Jackson is clearly a very flawed individual on many levels, as is evidenced by his regular fights and sackings, but he is also a person who thinks deeply about issues affecting his beloved game. I disagreed with a lot of what he said and also agreed with a lot of what he said. I have equal respect to both Mike's interviewing skills and Jacko's ability to control his anger and be very articulate in making his points...virtually without swearing at all. As a person studying to become a counsellor/therapist, what stood out to me immediately and profoundly was that as soon as Jacko felt that he had said everything he needed to, he told Mike that he no longer had anything against him. All he needed was a chance to get it all off his chest in his own way. To see that happen so suddenly was powerful. Full credit for both men getting it all out into the open in front of each other in as calm a manner as was possible and, seemingly, moving forward from there.
