Yeah, Canon should put their big boy pants on and give the full R line C-log 2. I bought the R3 over the C-70 which was a difficult choice. If Canon could give the R line C-log 2 it would be perfect.

I am new to video on my R7. I had trouble seeing some of your settings because the clips are very short, I will need to rewatch this several times to follow what point you are making. It's OK to stretch things out a bit for us newbies.

This is what I need for today, I always hear expose to the right, I sort of knew what it was, but I just didn't know how to, and I didn't even know about the zebra stuff at all or the base ISO on the R series camera. This video packed a punch for me!

you mean anamorphic? They have their purpose. Pros: - Looks good -anamorphic flares -Bokeh Cons: - Manual focus - Usually more expensive Don't think it would make or break your career. Very much Style points.

Before CLOG2 i think Canon should release abetter battery for the R5C. Instead of carrying around V mount batteries... lol But, that said, i love my R5C.

Do you mean with the ETTR method that with the r5 better raise up the iso if this is the only option to get a brighter image, or is it in this case doesn't matter because of similar noise with higher iso vs iso 800 and raise the shadows in post? Thank you

The a7siii looks better but the r7 video is completely acceptable for any professional work

Add that colorspace transform node from clog3 to arri logC to soften the highlight rolloff

I have been asking for CLog2 for the R5c since release. Being able to add it in Davinci is cool but those should be native since it is a C-line camera. Canon needs to stop nickle and diming people on their products

Hey thanks for the video… I currently own a C70 & R7 and have been battling not to sell my canons and dive into the Sony ecosystem with the FX6 and fx30… There’s something about the TEXTURE of the Sony image lately that’s very pleasing to my eye… But after watching a couple of your videos and seeing how you work the images, I think I’ll probably stay with my canons… Looking forward to your grading canon footage video…
