Aside from the normal wiring of the radio itself did you have to change anything else out on the vehicle? I read that with modern radios the stock Alternator needs to be changed out for a min 94Amp one to be able to run the radio as well as other upgrades so as to not cause a short seeing as how stock wiring harness wasnt meant for too much power to run through them. Thanks
@ronagarage512 Жыл бұрын
I didn't and I don't think it would be to honest. Modern electronics draw way less amperage than the older stuff. If you were going to be adding an amplifier and other sound equipment I would agree to upgrade the alternator but with just a modern radio and speakers you should be good!

@ronagarage512 Жыл бұрын
I would think the new board would fix it. As for bumping up to a 40 volt I'm not really sure to be honest. I think the 24 volt controller is the highest voltage controller they make. You may be able to find a voltage reducer to drop the 40 volt to something more useful, say 28 volts but I'm not sure any of the other electronics on the ride could handle that high of voltage
@eatthecrow4113 Жыл бұрын
@@ronagarage512 thanks for the reply.
