For the needles that come with the machine, they do actually say the size of the needle, on the needle itself. Its pressed into the needle head. You need good eyesight or a magnifying glass to read it though!

Size,- yes, type,- no. I explained that in the video about people not knowing types of needles.

When I got my Dream machine, I was told there would be classes to teach me. Never happened. Yes they had class but for every other machine except Brothers. Not a whole lot I could do so I fell in love with KZfaq. That was and still is my class room. Now you’re my teacher.

The singer 401 manual said to take the foot off for free motion., however i have tried using the multi-purpose foot, with all tension off the pressure foot. That works

Be sure to read your instruction manual and sign up for in-person embroidery classes at your local independent sewing machine dealer. This is a basic embroidery machine and it sounds like you are a newbie who needs newbie machine operation and embroidery setup lessons.

Wow! Gorgeous. Just discovered you and I'm in love with all you have put out here. I am wondering if by chance you have or would consider doing a video embroidering on vinyl. I make handbags/wallets etc. but when I've tried embroidering on vinyl I get puckering. So, I'm scared to do it on a bag worried I will ruin it. Hope you will consider because your videos are fabulous.

Please help. I don’t know when to put the card in machine and remove. Does the machine need to be on or off and at which time for inserting or removing. I beg for help with this as I have tried to research before bothering anyone. I am a 70 year old great grandmother wanting to embroidery items for my babies. Please help me as I am on the verge of tears.

I do not know what age has to do with it. We are both from the same generation. If you cannot read your instruction manual or figure it out from all the videos on YT, I highly suggest that you call your local Brother sewing machine dealer or even a Baby Lock dealer and book and pay for a one-on-one private machine operation lesson. You can also call Brother directly and talk to their customer service for further assistance. I created several videos on the older Brother machines I adopted and posted them all on my YT channel. If what you seek is not in the videos I made, please call Brother and your local dealer. Thank you for watching.

Hi Chris, I am back. I have the ULT 2002D where I was able to install that Border program from the floppy as you said, and I did a couple of continuous monochrome borders as you said, by editing them in my computer, and loading again to the machine, but lamentably after the second design, the floppy drive on my machine died, and I can no further use this feature. I got the Brother Innovis 2500D, but that one do not have a floppy, just the card reader and a USB. I transferred the software to a USB drive and tried to install it into the new machine, but it did not work, do you have any idea? Brother Support has no idea about this software. I also got a Viking Design Topaz 30 that came with two borderless/endless hoops, the 10"x6" and the 7"x5", but it doesn't have a program or way how to do the markings so I can not do endless embroidery.

You lost me my friend. If the software company cannot help you I have no clue how to assist you. I would suggest you take your Brother machine to a Brother dealer and show them everything that you've done. They represent and sell Brother not I. Good luck.

@@christophernejman Hi Chris, thanks for your reply. I already took this issue to three different Brother Dealers, and two BabyLock dealers, and none of them have idea about this. And the same is for Brother and Babylock Support. So I guess I will have to use just the built-in designs on the machine. But a friend of mine offered to check the floppy, and if possible, to replace it with a refurbished one. Thanks again for your time!!!
