A Rinella brother back on the podcast! Amazing how much he sounds like Matt, I wonder if he's still part owner of the shack and ok with at sweet sweet hunting industry money keeping it maintained.

Definitely a lot of wisdom from him but man does it kill me to listen to him say it isn’t you most of the time it’s the bow and how bad he is at maintaining his bow . And two torn rotator cuffs ? Wouldn’t he be out this season to ? Just wondering . I don’t wana hate cuz I love a lot of what the man has to say but it sounds a lil off to me

Agreed, we really need a fish shack/property tour as an episode, does not need to be overproduced or anything just someone film steve walking around talking about stuff for however long it takes.

Would love to hear Danny's take on the current Alaskan Salmon SItuation. As was said on the shrimp, it wouldn't be so depressing if I knew something would\could change and they'll rebound.

If you need anything fixed Steve, I can repair anything for my ticket to paradise! Outboards, motors, electrical, plumbing, anything! I’ll fix it if you take me out fishing and or hunting. That place seems like heaven.

While it could be a good offer, and probably useful enough, I’m sure he could charge enough (for someone to come fishing) to buy a new of everything! But hell I’ll be your helper!

Well wrapped/vacuum sealed venison is good as long as the seal is working.......within reason. Long story, but my All Purpose Boy found several packages of whitetail burger in his freezer that was ten (10!) years old. (100% well trimmed with nothing added) He was bummed out and commented he was going to pitch it out. I said I wanted to try it first......it had been put in freezer type Zip-Loc quart bags. Several of the packages had obvious browning near the zipper where freezer burn had occurred, but only a bite or two per bag. I made certain all the browned meat was tossed, then used up every single bag making chili or goulash. It was as good as the stuff made from fresh. Most folks toss canned goods that have reached the Best by date.......If you package it well, it is good way longer than most would believe. The key is to wrap it well in an air tight plastic wrap or bag with all the air squeezed out. Most folks use a vacuum sealer to that effect. I'm a tightwad and use freezer grade zip-locs and squeeze the air ALL out.

At minute 42, Ben said something that instantly got my attention. The fact that we resort to prayer to help in the time of need and then see the miracle happen in front of our eyes. I did the same thing for my daughter 2yrs ago in WV when she hit a buck back. Lost blood and started grid searching. After an hour I knelt, prayed, looked up the mountain, and saw his hooves sticking up above a log. I shed a tear, thanked him, and started yelling to her! If it was me that shot it, not found it, I would've been able to deal with it. The fact it was her and I didn't want her to have that feeling, it meant so much more. Thank the good lord for all the critters he put here for us to chase and all he does for us every day. 🙏

The knives seem well built but the price is just a bit ridiculous though. Its awesome that the business is flourishing and good on you for killing it. Maybe one day I'll grab a second hander. But, there's plenty quality knives that are affordable and time tested. Take care of your knife and it will take care of you.

The lower 48 is so sliced up. I still prefer Alaska over all the other states. You really don't run into these kind of problems up there. It's a little bit more expensive to hunt there but you don't wind up at the Supreme Court.

Here's the solution: avoid Wyoming, hunt anywhere but a checkerboard. I'm planning on doing an antelope hunt there and that's it.
