There's something following them! Most overlooked comedy ever!! No clue why so many people my age, in their 40s don't know and or love this movie. I know every line and love every second of it. Could literally watch this movie on aloop and never get tired of it. The fact he survives the cliff to only show up at the very ending is just, there's no words. Whoever wrote this movie was a comedic genius imo. There are like 100 quotable funny lines from this movie. Ricky I'm sorry your mom blew up etc!

A solid contribution to American English! How many people refer to "$2" and don't even know about this?

I use a variation of this line whenever someone asks me for an impromptu explanation of something. I just start with the center and quarterback comment and it usually ends there.

This is a great example of how great players just can’t explain how they make the plays they do on the field. It’s just natural instincts.

"Better off Dead" is one of my favorite 80's movies - it's not one of the best - it's one of my favorites...let me be clear :) also, if you like it at all, you have to check out "One Crazy Summer" - honestly, not as "good" a movie...but possibly funnier!!

You don't understand this was the '80s. Back then two dollars was practically a fortune. In 2023 money, it was about equivalent to $50. You could actually buy an entire value meal at any fast food place. You could do a whole load of laundry at the laundromat, washing and drying. You could fill up your car. And still have about 50¢ left over after all that. Enough for a movie and popcorn. Evening show, not matinee.
