Ditch witch mechanic here the bushings on the Ditch witch should last well over a 1000 hours depending what the machine is doing if your ramming rock pile and hitting buildings yeah 500 hours but if your just loading rocks and not beating the hell out of it they will last along time some land scape guys never need to replace them now the tree service guys just beat them to death ramming into stuff all day every day

Best mini loader in the industry and the undercarriage is light years ahead of every other company.We own a rental company in ny we have a 755 and 2 sk800s bulletproof machines .Used to own a bobcat mt55 and mt85 never again put thousands into the undercarriage .So happy we turned over to the ditch witches 4 years ago.If there was a negative about the machine I would say I wish there were more dealers in our area.Our nearest dealer in 350 miles away Jesco in jersey and getting parts can be a bit of a pain.

Ditch witch with joysticks = more precise controls, easier on wrists to run all day. Vermeer = narrower machine, easier to go through a gate
@Ray-he4oe3 жыл бұрын
Vermeer doesn’t get my vote in Australia. They are far to pushy at a sales level. Due to this and a better price it was a no brainer. I brought the Ditchwitch

If you want to move the Vermeer without standing on it just C clamp the saftey thing permently down, lol. Problem solved. I have used both machines and liked the Vermeer better overall. The controls on the ditch witch were actually a little too squirrelly for my skill level which made for some spills and mistakes. The vermeer controls were smoother and more progressive which I liked. Also the ditch witch bogged down when trying to pivot sharply in soft dirt, and also a bit of delay in the response at times. Also had the same experience with the bucket not dumping quite steep enough to dump dirt quickly, had to wait for it to fall out or shake the bucket and it was dry loose dirt. The ditch witch doesn't have sides which makes it quick and easy to jump off and on when you're working and you'll notice that right away. However it is nice to have the protection of the Vermeer so kind of a toss up there, but it takes a bit more time to step around the sides when getting on and off.

The arms on the boxer looks like toothpicks
@Eddybarrett844 жыл бұрын
Looks like you do not like your boxer, it’s like if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything ..... that boxer looks like a budget build, would buy a used Vermeer or DW over boxer... toro 2000 with extending arms is a top of line and will stand toe and toe with any other brand... for your landscaping company a used dingo 420or 425 in good condition is best option, 31k machine to till/soil condition and do sod prep is CRAZY, plus that doesn’t include attachment, stupid crazy 40k plus with 1 attachment then a 4K trencher attachment unless your smart and sub that out to a irrigation outfit that solely (only does sprinkles, do it faster better and warranty work, it’s hard to compete with a team installing irrigation system5 days week, guys doing sprinklers are either naturally mechanically inclined or day or ditch diggers specials, some people don’t have the ability to do it at a professional level(ALOT OF COMPANY INSTALL SPRINKLERS SLIGHTLY ABOVE DIY LEVEL, nowhere near a professional skill level lack craftsmanship and experience. Best to sub irrigation out, and you continue improve your efficiency and quality of landscaping, be the best grader and sod layer( most time spent on prepping ground and getting grade correct, install drainage in correct place(irrigation company can come in and do that part also) for small to mid size company’s doing it all becomes stressful and can overwhelm you. NO SMALL OR MIDSIZE landscaping lawn care business (2-7full time employees, 2-3 crews, with 2 trucks on road daily and 3 truck for new landscaping or small 1 truck lawn care ,1truck landscaping) should purchase a new 40k stand on mini skid period.... two options for this group of companys 1-find a good company to rent from locally owned rental company’s will give you best price if or once they realize you will be a repeating customer and the company gets equipment back that hasn’t been abused. 2- look for a good used mid to late 2000’s (2005-2010) model year dingo 420 or 425 gas or diesel most will be junk and on last leg but wait long enough and you will find one nice under 10k, and one 12-14k with 1-3 attachments. TAKE NOTE: if you buy and take a 40k debt on and your not a BIG company that will be using it daily or at least 1-2days weekly your making a bad choice..IF YOUR 40K MINI SKID IS SITTING AND NOT BEING USED WEEKLY YOUR LOSING MONEY EACH AND EVERY DAY ITS SITTING, so before going and spending 40k ask yourself, do I rent one atleast 1 day a week, do I currently use my old boxer or bobcat weekly(and not just weekly in season but yearly) if both are a yes, then that 40k investment will pay for itself in 4 to 5 years, and still be in good enough condition to use another 5 years with NO RENTAL FEE’S so that’s $400 extra each job....... but I can tell you I to often see these machines being used very little and also see companys trying to keep them in use (on jobs one is not needed)..... and yes maybe you got a handshake from a home builder or developer and you will be doing all his work, LET JUST SAY THOSE JOBS ARE GIVEN TO A COMPANY THAT WILL GET THE JOB DONE FOR THE LOSEST PRICE (profit margins are so low you basically break even and those jobs are for keeping jobs to keep employees )AND THE WORK NEEDS TO LOOK ONLY Acceptable keeping crews busy while the company waits and hopes for a profitable jobs..... that handshake may last 1 or 2 years but you get have 2or 3 more years to pay it off...... if you can use that Vermeer weekly on remodeling landscaping year around YOU GOT IT MADE, only work with high enough profit margins that financially makes sense to maintain and keep newer equipment.... I see lawn care guys just starting out buying a 20k walker mower and only have his own yard and 2 small accounts..... now with a walker mower it double productivity.... new mini skid vs old mini skid highly doubtful it will cut your job time in 1/2........... so think just how faster is the Vermeer over boxer, is boxer reliable? If so keep using what you have, will spending 40k make your jobs look better? Highly doubtful unless it has some crazy grading system on it... keep boxer and go buy a WALKER RIDING LAWN MOWER ( best finish cut and bagging system on the market for the past 30 years, no other company has come close) toro tried to copy setup and failed badly.

Hi guys, I’ve had the ditch witch for over a year now. 205 hours on it at the moment. No issues so far. To clarify a few things. The bucket that I used on this demo is not the ditch witch bucket so the dump angle was off. The 52” dw bucket I got with the machine dumps perfectly. The machine has not thrown a track yet and Maintenance has been a breeze. I highly recommend it. If you have any more specific questions let me know.

Good video. Can anyone tell me if the auxiliary circuits operate when the operator is not standing on the platform? I have an attachment with an external hydraulic control valve located on the attachment which requires continuous flow to the attachment when the operator is not on the platform. I'm sure this safety feature could be bypassed, but doing that would not be appropriate on a rental.

Depends how you view the machines. I had a bad DW rental once and thought they were worthless. I planned on buying a Vermeer s450tx because I loved renting them. The controls are my favorite. I was in a pinch recently and had to rent a DW 600 and liked it. Talked to the dealer and he said the rental I had was a lemon,had metal in the pump from the factory or something. A friend has a Vermeer s450tx and after 400 hrs had to put new front track rollers in because so much dirt stayed packed in place- definitely a maintenance issue but with DW tracks it self cleans and no need for maintenance. DW can be operated from the side of the machine which is nice when hooking up attachments. Vermeer has a better auxiliary lever because it actually detent’s vs using a foot pedal, Vermeer has nicer joystick controls. DW 600 is faster ground speed and higher lift, extra lift capacity and easy bucket locking pin than a Vermeer s450tx. They both have the same engine. After tax I was quoted S450tx $25,800 with bucket Sk600 $23,300 no bucket I think Vermeer has to get their prices down and fix their track design to stay competitive
