Hi Dom, hope you’re feeling well. You built me a great 1” bore handgonne which I love. Are you still making the breech loading swivel gun? I would love the smaller swivel gun in the vid. How much & buddy

I had this idea to basically make matchlock water resistant enough that you can use it in the rain by simply having the match stick to the pan cover because of tension by the spring and the pan cover opens by simply pulling the trigger and the match falls to the pan and ignite the priming powder and once the shot is fired the next thing is basically cock the locking mechanism and then the pan cover moves back to cover the pan again and then an in built powder flask will prime the powder by having a small cup in a valve moving from the flask and to the pan and vice versa

@@kevinsularan4072 Yes, Armstrong was a British company during the late 19th century when this gun was manufactured. They also built one of the largest guns, the 100 ton gun in Gibraltar, Spain.

At Point Pleasant Park in Halifax there are several Armstrong RML ?9lbers or 12 lbers on static display for possibly up to 1 century or more. I think these date back to the First Boer War era. They are on fake concrete display carriages and the bores are long gone, it looks like someone used the bores to store salt and HCL solution in. Sad but this is pretty much a typical default way the World's display cannons are kept under. Happily the CF keeps better care of the display cannons at R.A.Park out of the filthy hands of Political Parks Canada.

I suppose you could fire them one at a time if you really wanted to. With a nice enough mount/carriage you could probably aim each shot decently well too.

Delightful! Your camera's microphone sure didn't enjoy the firing, though. That must have been quite the noise! Additionally, I have a perhaps unreasonable request: your older GBO threads no longer have photos, do you have any way to either update them or link to a newer/functional photo host?
