Do you have any recommendations on what will help with that? I was told not to use chicken wire but I thought metal mesh was ok. Was also told not to use class or plastic and basically bought the same enclosure you see on the video 😭

I never tried but I'm sure there's a safe way to go about it. I waited for it to fade away on its own and cant recall how long it took - but here we are a couple of years later and it's completely faded! Thanks for watching!

You have a beautiful Aldabra there. It seems more like an "exceptional" specimen on Sam's grading scale. I'm curious as to what shell shape he was described as having. I really like his shape. Glad you are back.

Hey Matthew! I just rewatched the individual video of my aldabra (#356) that Sam had sent me before I purchased him - the way he described him was as a 9in perfect, big, round and smooth, then he says massive. Hope that helps, haha - he's grown significantly since this video. Stay tuned for updates coming soon, I've got a few other videos since this one was posted, be sure to check them out! Thank you for watching and sticking around, I appreciate it.

Little Foot is beautiful! Definitely bigger than when you first got him. I just found your channel and catching up on your videos of this guy. I have one 4 1/2" Aldabra hatchling I got from Sam in June. I named mine Teton for the Grand Tetons. She will one day be a mountain of a tortoise. I also have one of Sam's 5 5/8" new shipment of hatchlings he just got in picked out to ship in a couple of weeks. Her name is Denali. Kinda' like you, read about these giants as a child and always wanted one. I'm a fellow Texan Aldabra owner way up close to Abilene.

Apologies for the late reply! They're such an awesome species of tortoise, and Sam is definitely the go-to for all things aldabra or cyclura in my opinion. Thank you for watching, would love to see videos of your aldabra's!

I would get rid of that hide, I found hides keep them more afraid because they dont have to face you, I do put a hide in with my little ones outside, but thats because they are already extremely tame. Also when I bring them back into the house they dont have to be collected one at a time. I dont have hides for any of my big lizards anymore. What did you name them? And i am also jealous you can run ads, that sure would help me but youtube dont like me very much:)

I have tame rocks if you know anyone that want any. They are Cayman Bracs , the smartest reptile ever recorded on the internet, but I also believe to be the smartest reptile species in the world. As you know I have proved that with my videos, I mean if you have been watching all the stunts I trained them to do. But I will be interested in what Toms iguanas are going to be like. I keep in touch with some of the people that buy from me and the are amazed at the tameness of my rocks. You know they will have up to 10 eggs on the first hatch. Good luck, hope to see some babies in Sept.!
