I have same issue, and some time it makes loud constant ticking sound, like spark.
@dann55155 ай бұрын
Think of a vacuum cleaner. The higher power you want the louder the noise will bring. And think of invert air condition 2-way splitter that bring you strong wind from outside invert to inside. Is just that the air conditioner router or fan is not fully shield and cannot be fully shield because without air flow from outside there is no invert through air con. Even the combustion engine car when you turn on air cons the radiator fan is running. And combustion engine car can bring much more powerful air con than an EV's air con. Because combustion have bigger size fans and an EV have smaller size fan that design like turbo's fan turbine design. Is why so loud. I agree is annoying. They need to work this out for the near future EV built. EV is too quite and is why you can hear the fan noise. Tesla 3 also had that issue before. They need to redesign the invert fan position elsewhere like rear beneath and extend the tube for air to inside front. But then if it too low.. is no good if water goes in and it will make it worst and plus bad smell coming in. I always thought en EV still need the big fan in the front not only helping to bring powerful air condition wind flow and can also use the wind through to cooling the heat sink from battery below.

Update: New compressor still makes the noise and a/c and heater are rubbish can only cope between 15-25 degrees, anything above or below it struggles. Told repairer he said maybe they are just not good aircon system which is unacceptable for a modern car imo. I’m in contact with someone else same issue they think it is a faulty solenoid so waiting to see if that fixes his problem otherwise I will request a refund, can’t live with this in a new car.

Are you CERTAIN that the compressor was replaced? Can you tell that it’s different compressor? I ask because I saw a different atto 3 where a compressor replacement fixed this very noise issue….

I’ve got my atto3 in Hong Kong since 15 Jun 2023, the same problem and very confuse to me, After 2 weeks I went back to BYD shop to check it, they tested and say this is normal sound , so me the result and checked according to standard procedure from Byd guideline, and show me few new Atto3 at the shop and have the same sound, they told me this is normal when the cooling fan max on and air con set to low temp.😕 but after this I used to heard it and accepted 🙈
@andrewcheung104310 ай бұрын
It sounds more like the a/C radiator fan noise rather than the compressor noise. Just suggest you changing the compressor (even in your own cost) may not make the "problem" going away. The BYD doesn't have a front vent and particularly while the car isn't moving, the radiator fan has to work very hard together with the compressor
@pauljeffery569110 ай бұрын

Nice video, thanks a lot Paul! It gonna help me a lot to setup my future caravan. I was choosing between Adria 552 UP and JB Caravan Dreamliner 18' family bunk. I really like the light weight setting and the roomy space inside of 552 UP. And Adria's caravan is polyurethane structure and the moisture-stopping properties of polyester, which could survive better in a rainy day. Just ordered a brand new 2021 552 UP from Apollo Motorhome today. The price increases a lot, from $49990 last year to $58990 this year. Not much of room of price negotiation, due to a lot of orders but very little inventory.
